Do you guys think it makes a difference that some programs offer more or less classes? USC has a LOT more required courses, but I'm not sure if it makes a difference or not.

To add to this, there may be people accepted off of the waitlist that decide to decline. I wouldn't take it as a rejection just yet!

Thank you! I'm still in shock, ha. USC had such an extensive waitlist that I never imagined this happening. I was looking into the tuition rates, and it seems like USC may be quite a bit more expensive. Still weighing out all the options though.

I received a call this morning informing me that I was accepted off of the waitlist. I was only given until Friday to accept or decline. It's a very tough decision, especially with so little time!

I've visited USF last year as well. Fortunately, my boyfriend will be moving wherever I decide to go to grad school. Since there are so few differentiating factors, it is tough! I really liked that USC had a specific CI track, but USF has the Bolesta Center where they work with children with hearing loss. I guess this is a better stress than having no options, but it is hard! I didn't expect to get pulled from USC's waitlist, so I was all ready to head down to Tampa.

Luckily, I visited over the summer. It's just hard to make such a tough decision in so little time.

Apparently, if I accept, they will send further instructions through the mail. I wouldn't freak out just yet. I know if others decline their offers from the waitlist, they will still want to fill up spots. I feel so torn now! I loved both of the programs. USC had a specific CI track, where I would be able to scrub in and see the surgery, see the implant turned on, etc. It was wonderful! But USF had some components of their program that were really for me as well. What to do!

I sent them an email with the course description in it just to make sure. I want to triple check that I'll be all set for Fall. I don't want to get there just to find out I'm missing a pre-req that they told me about in March .

I'm trying SO hard not to buy anything. Not sure why, but I'm feeling very superstitious.

I'm sure this has already been asked (and answered), but can anyone tell me of a neuroanatomy course that is offered online over the summer?

I am 95% sure I will be attending USF for the SLP program in the fall. Any advice/info about USF and the surrounding area would be great! I'm so excited.

I am hoping that it is just the stress. I know this process is difficult, but we need to remain positive and supportive of each other. These are your future colleagues! Moreover, none of us can really comment on the inner-workings of any department. What makes a certain school more "political" or not doesn't really matter. Bashing a program because you were waitlisted or rejected just seems like sour grapes.

Things are feeling very tense over on the results board. I hope whoever is celebrating is having a nice holiday weekend.

None of you are second best. It's a very strange, convoluted process and it may not always make sense. I'm sure each of you brings something wonderful as an applicant. I will be wishing you all luck.

Eek thank you!!! I'm hoping everyone on here gets to experience this feeling. I am so thrilled that I will ACTUALLY be an SLP someday. :)

Thank you!!! I'm really hoping to go to the open house. It's just very short notice for me, since I would have to fly in from Maryland. Do you think I would be missing a lot of info? I'm pretty much decided on USF anyway, so it wouldn't do anything to sway my feelings .

If anything, waiting so long made me want that program even more. I guess that's my personality, though .

Thank you for checking on that. It doesn't sound like too many more acceptances will go out, unfortunately. UVA seems to have a very small grad program!
