This seems to correspond with what has happened in previous years. Their top scholarship recipients get a phone call or a letter in early February, while your average Joe admits get notified in late February and early March. Thanks for the update! I go to UT, so I'm very interested in VDS.

I've heard from some programs that they don't even look at Q. It's irrelevant.

Is Candler your first choice?

Anyone frustrated by Union Theological Seminary's application? It's the only one I'm applying to that's all paper and no electronic submission. I see that they get back to you in about 3 weeks usually.

Yeah, I got mine on 01/20/11. It sucks that it's been forwarded to the Adcom, but we won't know until mid-March. There doesn't appear to be any deviation from that in the results section.

They'll consider your past debt after they admit you, and primarily for scholarships. Don't give it too much thought.

Oooo, Oxford. Congrats. For me, it's just nice to get rid of the nightmares about not getting accepted anywhere. I should also mention that one of my colleagues here at the University of Tennessee was also accepted to Candler.

I was also just accepted for an MDiv at Candler School of Theology (Emory). Evidently they posted over the weekend, but I find it odd that their deadline of Feb. 1st hasn't even passed and they're admitting me. Hopefully this means they'll fund me well.

Agreed. Yale is too much in the mold of a Christian seminary to make the list.
