  1. Thanks MathCat for the reassurance!
  2. But shouldn't it show at least where I sent the scores right now, not necessarily that they were received?
  3. I took the GRE on January 3rd and I thought I chose to submit my scores to two schools. As of now, the two schools I chose to submit my scores are not seen on the ETS website. Does this mean something went wrong when I chose to submit the scores to the schools or does it take a while for this to be seen on the ETS website?
  4. MangoSmoothie, This was my third time taking the test. I studied for a month. I used the Magoosh flashcard app and the 5lb Manhattan book. My GPA for my SLP classes is 3.51. I took two classes this fall a a nonmatriculated grad student in SLP. I obtained B and B+ in these classes. I took the Kaplan class paid $1200 for the second time I took the test. The amount of time I spend studying for second test was far more than what I studied this time around. I did better this time.
  5. Twinguy, thanks for the reply I would think the verbal and writing portions hold much more weight. I hope the schools look at the fact my verbal is over 150.
  6. I just retook the test for the third time. My verbal went up from 145 to 152 but my Quant score went from 146 to 141! Should I retake? The writing score to be determined... I'm so sick of this test!
  7. The application deadline is February 15th. Will the school allow me to submit the correct one or did I blow it?
  8. Can someone please look at my SOP and give their honest opinion and advice? I feel it is strong, but I could be biased. Thanks
  9. I know the feeling. The GRE does suck. I am scheduled to take it for the 3rd in January. It is silly that so much emphasis is put on this test! I took two graduate courses in SLP as a non-matriculated student and made the grade. This test has absolutely no bearing on how one does in graduate school!
  10. Thanks Ergon, I will message you
  11. Would someone be so kind to read and critic my SOP? I am trying to get into graduate school for the second time and really would like to nail it this time around. Please send me a message and I will forward my SOP to you. Thanks
  12. I have also shadowed at a rehabilitation hospital. I plan on getting in this time!
  13. I've been using Magoosh GRE vocabulary words. Pretty good...
  14. My main anxiety is retaking the GRE for the 3rd time! I plan on taking it in early January. This test is not a reflection on how one does in graduate school. I just wish schools did not place so much emphasis on this test!
  15. I am in NY. I work in a hospital and I get $2500 yearly. However, RN's get $5000. You must get a B or higher in the course to be granted tuition reimbursement or in some cases you get a tuition voucher beforehand. When your grades come in, if they are not a B or higher you must give back the hospital the tuition money they put out through the voucher.
  16. Thanks Sayjo! I will look for it on Amazon.
  17. Anyone have tips for the math section. I really stink at math. I can not even get the questions marked easy correct in Magoosh.
  18. So, I have submitted an application for Fall 2015. I will retake the GRE and submit a new statement of purpose. I am determined to get in this time around. I do not plan on taking the GRE until December. I am aiming for 155 in each section and at least a 4.0 in the writing section.
  19. Your chances are slightly better being that not many apply for Spring. However, still very competitive
  20. Thanks Patont... I did my MS at the College of New Rochelle. Unfortunately, it does not have an SLP program. I plan on retaking the GRE and possibly taking some grad courses as a non-matriculated student. I also work for a hospital and I am trying to do a volunteer research position within its SLP department. I have not yet begun to fight! Next year, I will be in school!
  21. Thanks for your input... I am kind of getting frustrated with BC. I keep asking the grad deputy if I can take classes on a non matriculated basis and she never answers my question. It is either yes or no! She was the one who recommended me taking classes on a non matriculated basis!
  22. I am determined to get into Brooklyn College next year. I have made an appointment to meet with the graduate deputy to discuss why I was denied and what I can do to gain admission.
  23. Thanks LDadvocate, I just wish they would have let me know right away. I am definitely going to reapply next year. However, I am going to find out why I was denied this time around. This way, I can work on what needs to be work on and hopefully have a different result.
  24. Received my denial from Brooklyn College. At least, I have closure. Will apply next year...thanks all for the support I am disappointed. I waited all this time for a denial...
