Are the range GPA's listed on the ASHA website of those accepted to various programs, or is it the range of those who applied?

New York/New Jersey Schools Fall 2015
Arcanelady27 replied to Shayy_Dee's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I was denied from Lehman for the third time. I am beginning to feel they are biased. I took my prerequisites there and I can not tell what I experienced as a minority. I did have an interview with a while back and I was the only black woman that was interviewed. Go figure... -
Fall 2015 Applicants!

No, I'm still holding out. -
Actually, this is my second year applying to graduate school. I took the grad SLP classes after being denied admission. I've reapplied to the same school I took the grad courses and obtained a LOR from one of my grad professors. I hope it does make a difference. This was my third time taking the GRE. I hope it was my last! I can't seem to do well in the quantitative portion.

I had to retake the GRE. V152 Q141 AW 4.0 GPA post-bacc 3.53 for SLP However, i took two SLP classes as a non matriculated graduate student. I hope that will have some pull because I did good in the classes.

Post-Bacc--Good Idea or Not?
Arcanelady27 replied to KellyAR0329's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I am not understanding. What type of post bacc program are you referring to? SLPA? You have already taken the courses needed for entrance to a SLP program with your Bachelors. All your transcripts must be seen by grad admissions offices. The question to ask admissions' offices is which set of grades will be looked at if you retake the classes... -
'mature' SLP student thread
Arcanelady27 replied to Starene29's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I am 35 with no children, looking to get into grad school this fall. I can't relocate due to work obligations. I'm also limited to where I can apply for financial reasons. My GRE scores the third time around are not the greatest but meet the minimum requirement for the verbal and writing portions. I stink in math! -

Part time graduate school

I know Lehman College and Brooklyn College allow part-time status. I must attend part time as well due to work obligations. -
Fall 2015 Applicants!

This is also my second year applying. I'm limited due to financial and job reasons. I have a slightly better GRE score and better SOP. I also obtained another LOR.I hope to get in this year too! -
To send highest GRE score or all the scores
Arcanelady27 replied to Arcanelady27's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
For one of the schools, I sent all three scores. For another school I sent only the highest score. I hope sending all three does not make me look like a unqualified candidate. I think made a mistake and sent the score twice to the same school. The second time I requested the highest score and the first time all three. This is my second time applying and I really want to get in this time around. -
Fall 2015 Applicants!
Arcanelady27 replied to slpslidingaway's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I had to do the same and personally drop a LOR off because my SOP never made it despite being mailed way before the holidays. The school allowed me to email my SOP which was then attached to my application. I do understand your frustration. You spend a lot of money for the application to be reviewed and it would be a waste of money for your application not to be reviewed on account of their error! I have seen that happen to someone in the Fall 2014 application cycle.
