  1. I emailed Brooklyn College for clarity of this response. They are still reviewing applications.
  2. I would think so too, smrv.
  3. Daisynic, I did already and was told I had to wait for decision. I do not want to call again and irritate the staff.
  4. I emailed Brooklyn College on Friday evening. I received a response this morning from the graduate fellows. What was said: The review process is still in progress. We anticipate that applicants will be notified of a decision within the next month. Best, Graduate Fellows I asked if they were done interviewing applicants...
  5. It really isn't clear why you do not like the school you received an acceptance. Did you just apply because no GRE was needed? If so, that does not make it clear why you don't like the school.
  6. I am not sure I follow you. Why don't you like the program you was admitted? Columbia is Ivy League. I would imagine they have high standards.
  7. Greyhound111, I am not certain. I do know once a school has the max number of students. The wait list becomes inactive. The schools no longer have a need for it. The way the wait list works is quite puzzling.
  8. I do hope so! That would be great! With the interview process remember although 100 people were granted interviews, some of those people may have declined the interview because they committed elsewhere or could not make the interview. I was told you couldn't change the date of your interview.
  9. I feel the exact same way. You are lucky you heard something back. There are people like myself that have not heard anything.
  10. Since you have to interview to get admitted, I am not certain they have finished granting applicants interviews. I say this because I have not received a rejection and I have not received an interview. I wonder, how many people were granted interviews? I feel like if you have rejected someone it is only fair to send rejection notice immediately. Those notices come from the admissions office anyway. It would just be a matter of the SLP dept giving the admissions office the names of those denied. Why prolong it?
  11. Smrv, I was told by the grad admissions office, they can technically accept students up until the day before classes begin
  12. So, I was bold and called Brooklyn College's SLP dept. I asked if they were done with the admission process. I was told no, they are not. I was told I must wait for them to contact me. I could not get application status on phone. Maybe that is for the best...
  13. I am so sorry Sammehh. Look on the bright side, you have someplace to begin your SLP career!
  14. Yes, the whole process is quite mind boggling! Good Luck to you
  15. I really hope you receive an acceptance soon! The CUNYs all move at their own pace.
  16. Best of luck to you! I hope you get off the wait list at SUNY New Paltz AND accepted to UNH!
  17. The gentleman, I spoke with yesterday, basically said the same thing. When was your interview?
  18. I called the graduate admissions number. You can also email the graduate fellows.
  19. For those of your who heard back from Brooklyn College, when did you submit your application? I am just curious.
  20. I have not heard good things about Touro.
  21. Congrats daisynic! You did it! YAY!
  22. So sorry Nyslp2b I really hope you get into Queens though..I hear they have a stellar program!
  23. You are most welcome! Thanks for the well wishes! Best of luck to you!
