O-H! I am so insanely excited for the move from Oxford, Mississippi to Columbus, Ohio to attend grad school at OSU. I wake up every morning feeling like it's my birthday.

There are barely any fellowships/scholarships for middle class Caucasian men in science, unless they're military vet, disable or gay. =.=

I don't think there's a single person in this world who is supportive of my decision to go back to school.

HOLY COW. I just got into my final grad school : The CUNY Grad Center. It was the most selective school by far, and even if I get zero aid there is no financial burden. I am literally over the moon right now!!! (And accepted to 6/6 schools...WHAT?!)

"We would truly love to have you join us this fall" - So I say, "Can u help me with funding?" - Silence for 2 days. :-/

I don't even meet the prereqs to take the prereq of one of my potential breadth courses. x_x

Funding (*whistles*)....here funding...come on funding...

Literally as soon as I got done complaining about being in the dark, I got my acceptance letter to NYU. Ecstatic!!

I keep going over my personal statement every once in a while to reassure myself that what I wrote was good enough for my top choice to take me. Is this normal or have I officially gone bonkers cuz of the wait?

I always catch myself pausing and praying under my breath at random moments of the day for an acceptance. Please, for the love of all things good, accept me.

Got an acceptance but for MA, not PhD, with funding decision still pending. Oh well, I suppose it's better than nothing. At least it wasn't an outright rejection. And to top it all off, I submitted my result here at the Gradcafe with the GRE Verbal and Quantitative scores switched! Now people will think I suck at English instead of Math! Sigh!
