I have been working at school for 2 years and in the Fall I am starting my PhD. However, I do not want to lose all of the connections with school and children and I am thinkinfg about volunteering at school. Does anybody have such experience? Is it possible to study and volunteer at the same time? P.S. I am also an international student (F-1 Visa). Is it allowed for internationals to volunteer at public US schools?

I am still waiting for my I-20... My advice is to contact the international office.

Can you please share your feelings about GMU? Do you enjoy studying here? Do you like the campus? Any information about the University and the town will be helpful. I mean personal experience. Thanks!

haha! Same here! Isn't it UCF you are waiting for? Because I was interviewed there on the 3d of Feb and still, I mean STILL nothing! It's the 26th of March now by the way! Dear UCF, you are killing me! I also have another one from George Mason - interviewed on the 4th of March. They said that decision would be in several weeks... Apparently it's more than several weeks by now.

I'm in the same boat. It's been more than a month since my interview at UCF. Trying to keep calm.....

I am waiting to hear from U of Georgia, U of Nothern Colorado, U of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, U of Houston, Temple U, U of Mississippi. Also I am eager to hear from U of Central Florida and George Mason U because I've been interviewed there. Besides, I'm quite nervous to hear from Syracuse U because I'm waitlisted for funding in that one.

Mathematics Education, also fall 2014

It depends on the program. Some of them requir interviews, some - don't. Try to read admission requirments of your programs. Usually it is written whether the interview is required or not.

I received a rejection letter from Maryland yesterday. But I applied to PhD in Math Education.

TS, what's your program? I've also applied to UGA but haven't heard from them anything yet... About the topic. I have been waiting for a month already since my interview in UCF. Still no news. So I guess even month is not a limit for after interview waiting...

Accidentally wrote USA (without article) in my SOP... Obviously I am an idiot... Thank God, I sent this SOP only to several universities, not to all of them.

TS, if you can't wait, you can always write and ask your universities about your application status. However, it is even not March after all, many universities didn't make all their final decisions.

I'll feel totally great if I have one funded PhD acceptance! But now, without it, I am dying just as you...

It's been 3 weeks after my interview in the U of Central Florida. I am trying to stay calm but honestly I am really nervous. On the website it is still said "no decision". Oh my God, I really don't know what to think. It is my dream school... Did anybody else apply to the UCF? Do you have any news from them?
