So maybe I am not crazy and it WAS checked. I thought it looked weird, but I couldn't place why

I noticed a while ago that nether option is checked on the bottom of my application where it says "Application is submitted and is currently under review" and obviously, "An admissions decision has been made" is not checked. I'm worried about the former and I cannot remember if it was ever checked.

Oh and for UCR people, I know their graduate services advisor is taking the day off -- so I'm assuming UCR observes today. Do all UCs?

That actually makes me feel better. But, like, dang...California (or whoever is in charge)...why don't you have these budgets already set up? No love for the liberal arts.

I'm also waiting on UCR and UCSB and the slow trickle is killing me. UCSB told me this on the 9th, but I see some acceptances on the board. Granted, everyone applying is not on this forum, but omg: Thank you for your interest in the English program at UCSB. We are currently still going through our applicant review process. When more information becomes available you will be notified via our EApp.

I'm an AfAm lit person. Not doing great, but I did not apply to enough schools (I was being extremely picky on "fit" and now I know what to look for to broaden myself next time).

I scored around the same and got into seven out of seven programs when I was applying for my Masters. It depends on the program, yes, but it will not make or break you.

Please don't enthusiastically agree (or agree in any matter) to write a rec letter and then ghost. Especially when you're on the literal other side of the nation and I have no way to contact you or hunt you down.

Well, I got my first rejection and also see that a letter writer totally didn't submit a letter and I must have lost track of it. Still waiting on others, but it's looking bleak. I didn't apply to many schools.

How are the city buses in Blacksburg? Especially if I want to get to Christiansburg? Also, I'm looking at these Jefferson St. Apartments. they're .84 miles from campus and there's a shuttle. How does the shuttle run? On a schedule or by phone call? Would anyone recommend getting a meal plan?
