lolz Yes, you should be confused about this . I meant an offer to be in relationship to be with me for the duration until we get into grad school. I will take your silence as you are disinclined to acquiesce to my request . Hell nah, being stuck in the room with Joffrey and / or Ramsay Bolton for 2 weeks would hurt infinitely more. -

Russian/East European Studies

Hello, I have been reading up and thought I should join. I applied to UCL - IMESS program. Am waiting to hear back on whether or not if I will get in. My area in concentration is Russia but that is because HSE has ties to Gazprom and yea...I wanna work at Gazprom as an intern -
Previous schools (name, type): CUNY - Brooklyn College Previous degrees and grades: BA in Political Science & Philosophy - graduated magna. Professional Certificate in Risk Management from NYU International experience (countries, reason, duration): France - 1 month in HS, Italy - 1 month in College, all over Asia - as a child and on vacation, Monaco, Belgium, Switzerland - 1 month in HS Previous work experience (duration, type): Intern at a lot of Fashion companies (Steven Alan - 6 months, Queen Bee - 3 months, Snag Films - 2 months), I now work as an E-commerce Manager in Inkkas Math/econ background: Calculus 1 & 2, Micro & Macro Economics, Self-study in Linear Algebra Languages (how fluent?): Vietnamese - native, English - native Intended field of study in grad school: Political Economy Long-term professional goals: Investment Banking Schools applied to & results (funding?): All are MSC programs : SciencePo & LSE (I am supposed to find out tomorrow), KCL - ACCEPTED (multiple scholarships), UCL - IMESS (I have no idea ) Ultimate decision & why: I may reject SciencePo if I get in but it is because LSE. I did not hear great things about the LSE graduate program. Any advice for future applicants : DO NOT START LOOKING AT GRAD SCHOOL IN LATE OCTOBER AND START APPLYING IN LATE JANUARY. IT IS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO DO IT THIS LATE. Oh yea, and apply to more than 3 schools and be sure to do your best on the SoP. Don't accidentally send in the wrong SoP to other schools.

Cheated on by your boyfriend right before finals with a very unattractive cougar, who is also his colleague,...and finding out from HIS brother who thought you knew. -
Columbia & NYU are not dangerous at all lolz. I mean, you may meet some crazy people on the trains but that is everywhere. And also be aware of NYC taxi drivers. The most dangerous drivers in NYC are people who live outside NY and think that their driving style is reminiscent of "NY-style" driving that they see on tv. Yale - this school is in the CT suburbs. WashU - is in Clayton, which is in the suburbs. UPenn, Johns Hopkins = I am sorry but I have never been there. Please don't select your top choice based on safety but whether or not you think you will enjoy being there for 4 - 7 years.

Application Status--The most Stressful!
kittythrones replied to literaryhopeful's topic in Waiting it Out
"Under Review" T^T, I've been under review for 2 - 3 months already and I got two programs, 2 level rankings lower, already and I submitted them 2 months AFTER it. #fml -
Hello PdH, yes! They will notify you of funding and all scholarship opportunities. I am American too and every school that I applied to forward me funding and scholarships to apply to! They were extremely nice about it .

Possible to Augment Applications after Submitted?
kittythrones replied to dinostrea's topic in Applications
Hello Dinostrea, Well, from what I have read, it depends on how much of a difference it would be. If it is something small, like iono, you made a typo, I would forget about it. If there are big changes, I would definitely email someone in admission's office for help. I did it for UCL, and although I did not receive a reply back, they did add it on! The worse thing they can say is no. I hope it helps . -
Congratulations Curious_Grad! Good luck to everyone in IHEID! I had a friend that went to LSE and both siblings, sister and brother, loved it there. Hello Alchyna! I actually don't know if it is competitive or not. My dream program is UCL to be honest - I've been waiting about 6 weeks. Worse comes to worse, we can all meet up in SciencePo and drink a lot of wine & cheese especially cheese. There is this amazingly pungent cheese that is sold in France that is superbly amazing but it costs a kidney in the US. I forgot to apply to the IMESS Supplementary Questionaire so I just filled it out yesterday. Hopefully, I will hear back soon.

How Are You Coping With The Torture Of Waiting???
kittythrones replied to PsycD's topic in Waiting it Out
Disney Marathon - like our childhood Disney, Star Wars Marathon, LoR marathon...yea, there is a lot of marathoning. Rock Climbing, archery, rowing, a lot of gym down time . Binge drinking, clubbing, and a lot of bedroom stuff - I kid. And lurking on the gradcafe forum -
Hello! I have been a long time lurker (since October?) and I finally decided to make an account in gradcafe. I thought I would just drop in to say hi! I applied to the joint program for SciencePo and LSE. I haven't heard back yet but hopefully I will soon! Good luck to everyone here! You guys have been keep me company in this very long and stressful company .
