Hi Kevin1990, I noticed that you have the Bush School in your list... the deadline for applications is January 15th, 2016. So you'd need to take the GRE before that if you hope to get a scholarship. All students at the Bush School receive a scholarship and therefore in-state tuition rates, but if you don't apply before January 15th with all materials they can't guarantee any funding will be left. If you have any questions don't hesitate to PM me - I'm a current student at the Bush School!

Hi CCD2016! I'm currently on an assistantship at the Bush School! If you have any questions about admissions / assistantships / scholarships here feel free to send me a PM and I'll be happy to chat to you -Jennie

Hi CCD2016! I actually used this site to make my decision a year ago, and I know it's far down your list, but I'm a current student at the Bush School at Texas A&M. Though I can't talk about the other schools, if you want any questions on entry advice here or the program don't hesitate to send me a message!

BushSchoolStudent started following Texas A&M Bush School , Texas A&M University (College Station) , College Station, TX and 1 other

I had this issue with FSU, and since I'm living in Tokyo right now the time difference makes it hard to be awake to call them! So, I emailed someone else in the department who told me that of the admissions staff (2 people), both of them were off work due to medical reasons and *may* be back on Monday.

Texas A&M University (College Station)

Some of us have been discussing housing searches in the College Station thread on the cities forum I'm an international student so I have *no* idea which place to pick... -
I'm the same as you! English female living in Tokyo From everything I've found so far, the deadline has already passed... including Fulbright for 2014 anyway. So if you're looking for 2015, apply early! I used the educationUSA website to find some funding and nice, simple, Google... Some Universities give in-state fees to international students, or give a scholarship to every student so you end up paying in-state fees anyway. I applied to one of those and got accepted

I'm English but am currently working in Tokyo Will be going to Texas A&M University (Bush School) to study International Affairs -
I've been using www.apartmentguide.com to see the apartments that are available - and apartmentratings.com to look at the reviews! Like CC2014 I'm going to be looking for something a little out as I'm a graduate student but I still want a community as I'm coming by myself from the UK! So I'm trying to achieve a balance.
-
I'm an international student also weighing up the off-campus housing options! Not sure whether to prioritise proximity or listen to the online reviews and go further out!

My hometown in England has a population of about 320,000 but for us that's considered to be a city... I was banking on making friends and having fun with them! If you guys ever get bored you could always be my tour guides

Are you accepting the Bush school offer, dctalk13? The interviewers asked me if I'd be okay with living in College Station and I told them I'd been 'driving' around on Googlemaps. Made them laugh! It's going to be a big change but I've heard good things about TX. PS (Doctor Who is definitely a yes - only if it's David Tennant!)
-
We don't have assistantships in the UK so I have absolutely no idea! Have you contacted the school to ask for clarification? I was surprised that with the generosity to overseas students that only around 10% of the students are international. I thought there would be loads of applicants from overseas with the fee waiver! According to the professor who interviewed me, I'll be the first Brit on the program. Will have to make a good impression...

Yeah I got 5K. At the other schools I'd be paying $20K+ per year as an international student. I'm still waiting on scholarship decisions from all 3 schools but I really doubt they'll be able to beat A&M, they'd have to give me a $14K scholarship!

I applied to South Carolina, North Carolina State, Florida State and Oklahoma alongside Texas A&M. All made me an offer except for Oklahoma (rejection). Texas A&M was always my first choice though! Are you accepting your offer from Bush, MPAallday?
