I asked my advisor about internships and he pretty much said the same thing. I just want to do something this summer that's related to my field. I don't think that smaller oil companies will pay for your apartment etc that larger ones will so I don't think I can do that unless someone knows of a company that does
Can anyone here give me any ideas for internships that might still be available this summer whether it be for an oil company or the geology in general? I want to do something this summer before grad school
Did you make the legendary 80, 000 dollar a month salaries I keep hearing about on the rigs ? Plus I read that shumberger laid off 7, 000 workers this year :/
I figured I spoke to people from BP, Shell and Schlumberger it appears, with the exception of shell since they told me to apply, that all internships have been filled
What's with this ''no decision'' answer that all these schools are giving me ? Umass like VT said that since my POI has no funding they haven't made a decision on my application. Why can't they just reject you ? Or wait list you
About this I applied to Shell's grad school internship but haven't heard anything. Are there any other companies offering internships to new graduates ? I hate that since I was a pre med for the majority of my undergrad I never looked into internships until relatively recently :/
Oh yea I have no problem with that I just hope they reward me something. He said my scores/LOR don't pose any danger but my chances are about 50/50. I will pray to the geoscience God
