Well you don't need to ask us if you want to do so But the only thing I will say is that they will say "We are still reviewing" because there will be VERY FEW people who pick other schools rather than MIT as their first choice. So of course they will be sending more acceptances but at the VERY VERY SMALL rate.

It's better to just move on for our mental health... It is the best school so no shame for not getting in

In fact, I think it might not be right to address advisors name for just 'course projects' Well there are many people and lots of strange people with different thoughts. Good luck on you application

I don't see any problem with you. Unless you have some accomplishments together with your advisor you don't 'need' to put his/her name on it. Maybe the prof. had some history about these issues (like one of his students used his idea and not mention his/her name)

Well in that case I don't think that you have a bad profile. Not quite sure that you are enough for the top world class schools But enough to get in a decent school. Did you apply this year? If so good luck for both of us

Maybe they came to a conclusion that interviews don't give that much benefit. I do think that interviews indicate a higher possibility of admission because at least it means they are interested in your application. But as it looks so it doesn't seems as a free pass

Aside your GRE quant and GPA I don't see any weakness. I'm sure you will get through this time

I don't think so. People who say something say so because they mean it. The POI could be irratated if you did contact him/her.

I'm curious do Universities also interview Masters application? If so, is it common?

I feel the exact same as you.... Its really early stage for application but it still kinds of bothers me of not having any mails.
