  1. I like that they think we won't compulsively check our emails, but that we will compulsively check the blog. I have my email open all day, every day. I only check the Harvard Admissions blog like 3 times an hour.
  2. Congrats @coffeebean13! Same, but without the fellowship + stipend.
  3. So my thought with the fellowships is that it's important to do them, even knowing there is no chance whatsoever that I will get them. I figure that if I get in, but don't get enough merit aid (drawn from a different pool) and want to call to see if there is anything that they can do to increase that, it's much more compelling if I made the attempt to get these fellowships. Why should they consider upping my merit aid if I didn't put in the effort for aid that was made available?
  4. @dwestlakeg @pubpolpal Same. I don't think I can make it to the Accepted Student's Day because it's a big day for my work. Can you report back on what you hear?
  5. I just got the call from Harris about 20 minutes ago. Accepted with $15k per year in funding. Still waiting on UT LBJ, which apparently has started reaching out already and then from other schools, but they won't release their admissions info until mid March.
  6. Just got the call. Accepted. $15k a year in scholarships.
  7. The notification is February 17th if you applied for the priority deadline on January 20th. There is a later application deadline that has a later notification date but was less competitive for financial aid.
  8. But the question is, was it a mistake because they sent it to the entire list of applicants or because they sent it to the accepted applicants whose information they haven't released yet. Note that it says the haven't released any decisions, not that they haven't made any decisions.
  9. I got the same thing. I'm now in wild speculation about whether they accidentally sent that to their list of people who have been accepted or their whole list of everyone who applied. This sort of wild speculation is not helpful, but I am not good at waiting.
  10. Can I bump this? Sorry, I hate to be a pest, but I'm very concerned about my lack of quantitative work. I'm good at math, but have no academic or work background in it and I'm wondering how much that is going to damage my application.
  11. Thank you. Definitely needed this today.

Concerns: I did not do as well as expected on Quant for the GRE. I'm concerned that my Quant score and lack of any quant work on my resume will be a hindrance from being able to get in anywhere. Is it worth applying or should I wait a year and try to get more quant experience and better scores?
