1. Damn. I guess I"m the only one still has something to be worried about...
2. If you don't make it in. Don't give up. If this is where you feel you wish to be, then don't let rejections slow you down.
3. Grats man! Hope the school is a great fit for you!
4. Most college towns have apartment complexes that rent out rooms in large apartments. So, it might be easier that way.
5. Uh oh. I'm seeing some Physics Colorado State acceptances going out last Friday and silence on my end. This doesn't bode well. >_<
6. *NOTE* @TGCA has added some updated method for importing your data. Stand by on the main thread to see an updated way to input data, soon.
7. You absolutely should. The biggest mistake I made in my first application year was thinking that all I had to do is get accepted (which I thought was an obvious thing that would happen). The thing you don't think about, besides not getting accepted, is what if you do and the school just isn't the right fit for you? I was unemployed for 6 months after I turned down the universities in my first year. You should always apply to jobs while applying to grad schools. That way you have all your options out and ready for you.
8. Time my acceptance this year came in? April 15th, when I accepted I won't be attending this cycle. xD
9. The deadline that is most optimal for applicants. Most people would want to apply for funding. ?
10. You should have seen what the whole message said before he edited it out.
11. That statement is all I needed to know about you. I'm above engaging in the musings of seemingly self-important trolls. @T Qi Avoid his advice. Good luck, T Qi, and I hope it works out and you two get into the same program!
12. Just because I didn't go to grad school in the other two years, doesn't mean I wasn't accepted for two. And it has worked for me four times. Not to mention multiple admissions directors have agreed that putting it in your SOP is very important. You aren't the sort of person who appreciates being wrong, are you?
13. *CALLING ALL DATA SCIENTISTS AND THOSE ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR REPLIES SO NEED A HOBBY* We currently have 242 data points! We need data miners to scour university websites and provide deadlines for all their graduate programs. This is an investment in a tool for future applicants! Come help! University by University we will have the most comprehensive list of 2019 application dates. We need your help! ?

15. Report all of them as spam.
16. To clear up the doubt you casted on the project, this data is being delivered directly to TheGradCafe, who plan to make a simple tool to allow future candidates a chance to look at previous years' data on application dates. The results page, for example, is used for a very similar purpose of seeing around when decisions came out in the past. Ultimately, their tool will likely continue to allow future applicants to imput their data in a never ending flow.
17. This is, in fact, terrible advice. I applied to grad schools with my girlfriend and before I did, I talked to various admissions directors about us applying together and he said "Yes, absolutely let the committee know in your SOP that that is your plan." Your SOP is the place to mention you are applying together. After that, it is up to the committee to see if they want you both. Two schools accepted us, together, after we both put it in our SOP. It can happen.
18. No, it wouldn't help. They don't know anything about you and they certainly don't trust your opinion, yet. If you're applying to different programs, there's not much the other programs can do to help. But, (hopefully you mentioned in your SOP that you two are applying together and want to attend the same university) I would recommend talking to your admissions committee and let them know that accepting the invitation to their program is tentative on her being accepted and maybe, just maybe, they'll talk to the other board, if they want you enough. Not saying they will or that you talking to them will even help, but giving them a "recommendation" to her board certainly won't. Good luck.
19. @rickz123456 A quick search finds a number of tools to convert foreign education scales to American 4.0 scales. (https://duckduckgo.com/?q=foreign+to+american+grades+conversion&t=ffab&atb=v68-2&ia=web As for whether you believe your GPA is low, but you're the 2nd highest grades in your program, then, yes, you absolutely should explain that in your SOP. It will make a big difference. Say for example you're on an American 4.0 system and got 2.73 (B to C average), you'd probably get rejected. But, if you can prove that the highest GPA in your class was 2.80, then, compared to your peers, you did remarkably well and the fault is in the instruction, not you. So, you might want to consider that when you're selling yourself in your statement.
20. Their usage of the English language is so beautifully eloquent and sophisticated, I'm honestly incapable of truly grasping its intricacies with my limited understanding of linguistics. McGill truly missed out on some seriously superlative linguists. Their grammar alone is supreme.
21. Oh man. When I get a rejection, I don't even read most of the words, I just scan quickly for the word "unfortunately" or "unable." Then I close it and move on. xD
22. Certainly seems so. We are hoping to have the same of that for every school. Anything you can contribute, the better.
23. Please take a moment to review that thread and provide any data you have. Could use some people to search through different universities and provide data for each program. I have already done so for Colorado School of Mines.
