    Hi everyone, I’m having a hard time getting letter of references. I’d like to know if it’s possible I can use a field evaluation (undergrad internship evaluation) substituted for a letter of recommendation? Would the graduate admissions still consider this as a letter of references? Thanks.

    Thank you. However if this is the case then why do most graduate programs require a 3.0 GPA or above?

    Is their MSW program worth it ? I have not heard of many students applying to thier program. I’d like to know if it’s a good program. I like that they have various concentrations to choose from such as Child and Family Welfare, Genrotology, Substance Abuse Counseling and Forensic Social Work. So why arent many students applying to their program?

    I will be applying to MSW programs soon in NYC. Does anyone know if your undergrad GPA gets factored into your graduate program GPA. For example, do they take your undergrad social work classes and factor it into your new GPA in the program or your overall GPA? Thanks.

    How many schools should you apply to? Is there a minimum?

    I heard it's a great program with specific concentrations and the most affordable and less expensive that other MSW programs.

    Has anyone got accepted into an MSW program lower than a GPA of 3.0? But has a strong background in the social work field such as, volunteer experience, field placements and etc.

    I would like to know more too. I haven't really heard or seen much about their MSW program.

    The program wants LOR to be by a program director or field instructor. But I feel they wouldnt know much about my skills and performance and not give me a fair review rather than the field supervisor who I've worked closely with in field placements.

    I'm considering applying to CUNY Hunter MSW Advanced Standing Program. Who do I give my two core competency forms to fill out? Is it my field instructor or my field supervisor. I believe my field supervisor at the placement will know more about my performance and skills since we worked together. But please give me feedback if your pass applicant to this program! Thanks!

    I will have them they just wont be from school faculty members, they will be from supervisors I worked with or volunteered for? Will this still be acceptable? It's an Advanced Standing MSW program.

    Can not having the right references weaken your application? If the graduate application asks for references or recommendations from certain faculty members from the undergraduate school you attended but you don't use these references can this weaken your application?
