  1. Citation-fixation shellacked! Also, this probably won’t do wonders for my English career but: Chicago > MLA
  2. Sorry, @Wooshkuh I'm crossing my fingers and toes for ya!
  3. Girl, is it even a question between those two???
  4. Thanks, Warelin! Do you know of any instances where schools in the CGS are able to opt out of their agreement? Can they pull the old switcheroo?
  5. If it's not binding, then what's the point of the agreement? That smacks of bad faith...
  6. That's strange ... MSU is a member of the Council of Graduate Schools. Seems kind of sketchy...
  7. Yes, the Council of Graduate Schools set April 15th as the universal background. You can learn more about it here: http://cgsnet.org/april-15-resolution HOWEVER, there may be one or two programs that use different dates. I don't see how that'd be possible, but crazier things have happened. Perhaps someone with direct knowledge can weigh in on this.
  8. Congrats!!! OSU e-mailed me a day after my website acceptance. I was nominated for a fellowship but won't know the results until the end of February or early March. But each school is probably different!
  9. Schweeeeeet. Congrats!!!
  10. Jeebus, that must be one long spreadsheet. I can almost see my project manager anxiously popping his head out of his cubicle now!
  11. I'm not attracted to men, but I won't lie: David Draiman's growling baritone is pretty sexy. Also: you're absolutely right, @Elle Coronaria, that was an incredible cover!
  12. "Hello darkness, my old friend I've come to talk with you again" ^my internal monologue today.
  13. Niiiiiiiice!!! Congrats!!!
  14. On the car topic, I just put $1000 into my poor Cobalt to fix some front-end issues, and now I hear a very disturbing scraping/grinding sound when I cut left. Can’t the STEM people figure out teleportation already?
  15. Yayyyyyy!! Congrats!!!!!
  16. LOL I want to see this color on a crayon...
  17. Seconded! Hopefully schools will follow another choice Backstreet Boys song from the same album: "Anywhere for You"
