    Hi guys, getting nervous about upcoming interviews...struggling on how to prepare and what I should be prepared for...any pro-tips??

    nope nothing still but relating it to other schools like UCLA, they set pall the dates for the interview and said they'll send out invites to each subdivision around two weeks before the interview date...so i see that as something that other schools may be doing as well

    I am actually still waiting to hear back from them as well but for DBS program and also BU too...Honestly I don't think they have gone through all the applications yet? there are barely any posts on grad cafe (even though not everyone posts) plus there semester hasn't started so I suspect there will be a lot more going out this week and next. Hang in there! I'm trying to take my own advice but the waiting game is killing me....might end up calling to see what they say

    WOW! That's crazy...there is still hope!!! Congrats thats really exciting..when you go try to keep in mind some of the questions they ask because I'd love to pick your brain after over a forum!!

    Ahh this is such a relevant thread right now.. I think everyone in my life would be disappointed if I didn't try again so... best: work in a lab for a year or two with an extraneous part-time job since LA is crazy expensive and re-apply craziest: drop everything, become a flight attendant and get excellent benefits while flying to all of my pintrest- dream countries/islands! My friend has made it so lucrative honestly shell be making more than I will if I go to PhD at least for the next 5 to 8 years hahaha

    ahhh I'm so bummed! I was waiting on learn&behav. area to get back to me...I feel like they must have gone out already then. Congratulations! good luck!! ....ACTUALLY just called the department so I am not out of luck yet! For all of you still looking into UCLA some of their areas won't be sending out invitations till mid january because the interviews will be in feb.!

    I think its different for every school: some departments do it all at once and some I have found send out at different times depending on the area within the department. Im trying to not get down until after the holidays, you never know what can happen!

    I have checked my emails every 30 minutes since like the 17th. Might be neuroticism, but maybe I should add it as a skill to my CV for next year. @nicokren I made a mistake on that app, as well..it was a unique format for sure.

    Ya, I felt like I had to just laugh it off. I don't have too much faith in myself getting in there or into Berkeley but I gotta try..especially with that awful switch right near the deadline I thought at least some applicants may be discouraged and I'd have a better chance! hahah wishful thinking... also congrats on UC Davis! I'll see you there if its the one at the end of January pm me if you wanna bounce ideas or talk about the program!!

    Ya I just woke up to an email from UCLA.......so frustrating all it said "your application has been received"......so it looks like they are still getting their bearings after the change in apps.

    I know some heard for quant from Davis and I heard for bio-psych but I know we received them on different days and from different coordinators so you may still have a couple days before you hear!

    Ya, you are probably right that its the same across the ex. psych. department. Well good luck to you!!! I'm sure the Skype interview only helps! This week will be a longggg one for us all I'm sure hahah

    Good luck to you too! Its hard to gauge yet..and same about the research..ahhhhh I hate this
