  1. Nothing yet :/ From the results posted last year it seems like we should be getting a decision in the mail within the next week?!!
  2. Does anyone have any information on University of Maine's program? They still haven't sent out decisions, but this is the only school on my list I don't have much information on. I'd like know a little more information about their program/facilities and Orono than what I can on their website before I rule it out (if I get accepted)
  3. I interviewed at the beginning of January and still haven't heard anything. They did say it could take until mid-March but it feels like it's taking foreverrrrr
  4. I'm a speech applicant too, straight out of undergrad. Congratulations on your acceptance, that's so exciting and I'm sure a huge relief! A lot of the grad classes at my undergrad would have a quick review at the beginning of the semester as a refresher/ leveler since students were coming from many different schools and backgrounds. I'm sure this is different for each school though, so if you're able to get in contact with a current student or alum, they could give you the best insight. Good luck!
  5. I got accepted and will likely be attending!!
  6. I felt most comfortable in dress pants, nice blouse, and a blazer. That's what most of the other girls at my interview were wearing too. It doesn't have to be boring or expensive though, I think the most important thing (besides looking professional, of course lol) is that you are comfortable and feel like yourself. If you do choose a skirt though, I would actually encourage wearing tights, it finishes the outfit in my opinion, even if they're nude/sheer.
  7. Yes, that is likely how I'll be making my decision unless I only get into one school or prices are very similar. Grad school seems like the most important thing in our life right now, but frankly, I'd rather be mildly unhappy in a grad program for two years than be crippled with debt for the rest of my life.
  8. There's a "professional interview" and a "personal interview" in the professional interview we got asked different questions, but the personal interview was the same for both of us. The essay question is nothing to worry about, they don't ask you anything that would require specific clinical knowledge or anything like that!
  9. I'm a little late to the party but oh well haha. I'm a first-year applicant Schools I'm applying to: University of Tennessee, Ohio University, Florida Atlantic, University of Maine, Mizzou, Northern Colorado, interviewed at Midwestern (Downer's Grove) Where I'm from: Illinois Biggest Concern: Affording school ? I think I have a decent chance at getting accepted somewhere, but I don't feel that I'm competitive enough for funding
  10. I just interviewed at Midwestern last week! Don't freak out about it, the environment is really comfortable and the interviews aren't anything you can spend a lot of time preparing for. I would just spend a little time thinking about your own characteristics. You interview in pairs, so make the most out of the time you get to speak. The whole day goes by quickly!
