Is anyone making the decision between these two schools? I have not visited either and would appreciate any thoughts or input!

For those of you planning to go to school in NYC, where are you planning to live? I've lived in Elmhurst, Queens and Brooklyn before but the outer boroughs seem so far from Columbia's campus. I also have a dog, so I feel like I can't really have roommates, and the (pet friendly) housing that I'm seeing near Columbia is like... $2k+ a month for a studio/1BR which is more than 3x what I pay now and I'm freaking out about it...

I got the same email that they were missing my FAFSA (they weren't) and that they "hope to have the situation resolved shortly and to be able to email your financial aid award letter early next week." -______-

Did they say when they would be releasing the FA info?

Can I ask what you like about Pitt? (at least on paper) I live in Pittsburgh now, but I am interested in maybe working in NYC/Chicago/California someday. I'm worried that if I go to Pitt, I'll have a harder time getting jobs out of state. Do you feel similarly between Pitt and NYU?

I'm trying to decide between Pitt, Chicago, and Columbia... Pitt is half the cost of UChicago, and I haven't gotten any FA info from Columbia. Chicago wants a decision on 3/9, and I'm really torn. Which school are you leaning towards?

I received my acceptance by email about an hour ago. I applied for the priority deadline to the 2 year program

I also got the letter today sent to my permanent address. Also 5k per semester. A little bit disappointing but better than nothing !!

Hey there ~ I went to a different school in Pittsburgh (Carnegie Mellon) for undergrad that is right next to Pitt if you have any Qs about the burgh! I love it here I also applied to Pitt for an MSW and have been checking every day for scholarship updates...

I just got an email saying: The Office of Admissions has received all required materials for your application to our MSW program. Your application is now complete and will enter the admission review process. Decisions for the spring term are typically released in the beginning of December and rolling thereafter. Fall decisions are typically issued in March and rolling thereafter. I also submitted all my materials by December 1. Not sure what the email means..
