  1. Waaah! what a torture. :< I can't believe it!!!!!!!
  2. Last year they informed me on Feb 21st that I was rejected. So I wonder why this year it is taking so long.... I still think they'll inform us until end of Feb. It is unsettling they didn't change the Status tho. Right now my application is on Paper Copies Recieved....since the beginning of Oct.
  3. I wouldnt lose hope yet. there is some time left. when did they say to you that you'll get the result?
  4. It could be a good sign? Maybe the put you in their second round...when the status goes to "selection made",it takes up a week and you'll get the result i suppose.
  5. Status on "paper copies received" since November now, idk why it's so unsettling although the mail at the application day said, they'd decide and inform us 3 weeks after January. I applied for Scholarship for Masters in the field of architecture.
  6. This is really inspiring You just gave me motivation to pursue my goals even harder. It is not that my GPA is that low (idk how to convert into gpa, but in cgpa it was about 3.5), but as an Architecture undergrad student (which for application for Masters they require portfolios) I am very unsatisfied with the content and projects I have to offer. I consider it partly my fault for complying with my professors' old fashioned methods and not striving for more diversity and become more daring....Now I am kinda mentally and emotionally suffering those consequences where I get the feeling that, no matter the scores I give, for architecture I am not good enough, I can't offer the required creativity and uniqueness. That is why I've decided to take unpaid internship for some months, and research more, and work on myself, in order to get the feeling that my portfolio is worth it, and I am worth it. Numbers and scores don't define how good you are, I suppose for architecture/and urban planning/design the portfolio plays a major part in defining your abilities.
  7. I think the impression your applications gives off plays a role too, and maybe the letter of motivation. :| I consider that as insufficient and too judgemental if the letter of motivation plays the biggest role. But maybe thats just me. :|
  8. It was preselection made then changed to rejection...I think they send rejections before the interview and keep and handful of people for the interviews afterwards :p.... I am curious as to how they decide who is better and who not. They keep saying to not get discouraged, but there is no worse discouragement than this. Maybe rejections from uni will feel worse, who knows. Anw I got my toefl results today and I scored 111...lol at least a good news.
  9. Just got the rejection letter, was nice hoping for it, I just wish they didn't keep me dragged like this for 5 months now. hahah They said they had about 315 applicants and 35 can be accepted. (For those who are curious it was the Masters Funding for Architecture 2018/19 Program) Anyway, I wish they could give a more specific reason as to why I got rejected, but well...anw Good luck to everyone else, hopefully you recieve more encouraging results ^^
  10. Yearly Mainstream Music trends. Once it was dubstep, and then some electro shiz from daft punk which everyone copied, the next year it was some repeated electro dj mixture with meeep meep uuuh aaah uuuh aaah , and this year was latino year, every song sounded the same. :|
  11. In the program which I applied for, which is Masters funding for Architects,it is mandatory to know german, and higher german language level means more chances to be chosen. I've checked many university Zulassungsverfahren, and they ALL require C1 and C2, DSH-2 for german in order to be able to attend the lectures in architecture. I am not sure if for the other programs, the language plays any significant role.
  12. Would be worse when you win the scholarship and then don't get admitted in any university. :| I am wondering whether I'll get admitted to any uni since the german language requirements are so devastating for my subject of study. I can't find anyone to consult about this either T^T
  13. Lol,everyone's so lucky, and here I have to learn C2 in ger. @loopyunicorn21 the interview sounds so tough!!! So you applied for a research program?! wow! I think it sounds like you managed well since you won some interviewers' sympathy. Good luck
  14. Oh, but if we do not get admitted until 1st Oct, don't we lose the scholarship?! and C1 is mandatory in german universities.
