  1. Just remember GPA and GRE scores are not the end all be all for your application. I got waitlisted at my top choice and saw they rejected someone who had a verbal GRE score 20 points higher than mine and a GPA that was higher than mine too. Hopefully you placed emphasis on your volunteering and shadowing experiences on your resume and in your personal statement. Good luck!
  2. The therapists at the practice wear scrubs so I’ll have to see what their office manager is wearing.
  3. I just found out I have been offered a summer internship position at a private practice. The dress code is business casual. I’m from the south where the summers are hot and humid. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what I should wear. Also, do you consider jeans to be business casual (assuming they’re dark wash with no holes)?
  4. Still waiting for 4 of mine: UNC Greensboro, Appalachian state, Western Carolina, and East Tennessee state. Some of them have already sent out acceptances but I have heard back. I got rejected from ECU over the weekend
  5. My first letter was also a rejection letter, first thing I saw when I woke up. They have great timing *eye roll*
  6. Thank you for the kind responses. Waiting for decisions like this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Especially since the waitlist process gets dragged on for so long. It doesn’t help that all this is happening during my spring break haha not the ideal spring break for senior year.
  7. This is my first year applying for SLP grad programs. I have heard back from one school (rejected) and haven’t heard back from anyone else. I keep seeing in the thread of decisions for this year that people are getting accepted to programs I applied to. But I haven’t heard anything from the rest of my programs. So I’m assuming I’m waitlisted/rejected. I’m starting to lose hope. I applied to 5 programs and spent all my money during the process (GRE, transcripts, fees). I’m worried I’ll either get waitlisted and not get a spot or just get rejected everywhere. How do you handle seeing others get accepted to your programs when you haven’t heard anything. Just feeling discouraged and don’t want to disappoint anyone close to me if I don’t get into a program.
  8. I’m currently here for undergrad. The Graduate program is very good from what I’ve heard. I agree with the person above that Greensboro is fairly boring. Also the building you’ll be taking classes in is fairly run down and small. The professors are fantastic though. I’m still waiting to hear back from them (hoping to be waitlisted rather than denied) if I get in I’d definitely go.
