  1. I got rejected yesterday evening, but best wishes to all of you!
  2. Still no word! Is it wrong to call and inquire considering the fact we were suppose to find out by the 15th of this month. Don't wanna be pushy though. They may be behind though.
  3. Let the waiting commence!!!
  4. Thank you so much! I'll have to keep you updated. Hopefully good news will be coming in the next few days.
  5. I called and finally got an answer. They are still sending acceptance letters out; no waitlisted or rejection letters just yet. They just said to keep checking email for the next few weeks ?
  6. This was literally my next move, inquiring about admissions status because I'm asking too general of questions. No one is picking up the phone or it's going straight to voicemail.
  7. So since the first round of acceptances have went out (or currently going out) is everyone else going to have to wait until after the 15th to hear something when those people have accepted/decline? I'm just not understanding the process of it all.
  8. It's okay! Mine too!! Good luck to you, and I hope we hear very soon! I'm gonna be checking like crazy
  9. My nerves have been on 10 since last week. Haven't heard a peep. Granted, have until Friday, but just knowing that others are receiving things is kinda stressful.
  10. Congrats!!!!! It definitely has to be the bigger regions getting notified first, haha.
  11. We were told that too!! I know (or what I was told) a few weeks ago that only 10 people applied from my region, but that's the norm because we are such a small area to begin with. I didn't put a second option down (maybe I should have) bc I was positive our Region always participates despite small numbers. Hopefully we will hear something at some point this week.
  12. @MH13 So they smaller regions haven't heard anything yet. It's been at bigger ones like Dallas, El Paso, etc.
  13. Thank you for the information, this is my first time applying. 147 V, 138 Q, 4 Writing, 3.2 GPA (not the greatest stats), 2nd year SLPA in the same district. I wrote about what got me into the field (my brother) and experiences my family and I had working with various SLPs over the years. The same SLPs who are my supervisors are the same ones who serviced my brother. I talked about how I wanted to stay in the Title 1 schools as well. This is all I've ever wanted to do. I'm sooooo nervous. @MH13
  14. @MH13 Oh okay then, you are a bigger region than where I'm from. Region 7-Kilgore. My friend and I are freaking out because we hadn't heard anything yet.
  15. Congrats to you both!! Still nothing over here for me. What regions are y'all in? @momoftwo @MH13
  16. This actually makes the most logical sense. I can't imagine they would have us wait another month to find out ?
  17. ? wooooooooow, are you serious?! What on earth happened to Dec. 15th I wonder?
  18. I called out of curiosity, and another lady (not Penny) told me that we will find out after the 15th now?? I'm confused.
  19. Yes!! But it's on a Saturday this year, so it may be that Friday, the 14th? Who knows!!
  20. Hi! Personally, I took a year off as well! I am a SLP-Assistant in the schools and this is my 2nd year. I LOVE IT!! I decided to apply to one program that I've been eyeing for a while now since it's distance and will allow me the opportunity to continue to work while earning my masters degree. I didn't go straight to grad school for a few reasons: low GPA/GRE, financial, and uncertainty if I wanted to stay in the field. After gaining experience and talking with SLPs who have became mentors to me, I finally decided to apply! I'm nervous, but I'm sure everything is going to work out! It's subjective as the previous person said about what you want to do! You know yourself and what will be best for you! Best wishes to you and your endeavors!
  21. You will make the right decision!! Continue to weigh your options and don't rush into a rash decision!! I don't know you personally, but I really wish you well! @JennWilhelm
  22. Congrats!! Is CSUN 100% online or do you have to travel for clincials during the summers? Does Emerson require travel? I think if you have a family, but don't mind being away for a short bit during those summer stays, Emerson could be worth it if they require travel. Especially if they give scholarships to alleviate the costs. If it's the same in price but CSUN doesn't require on campus visits and you want to stay close to family, CSUN may be the way to go. This of course is just going off information collected and an opinion, but I'm positive you will make the right choice for YOU. Good luck!
  23. It's November!! Is anyone else getting anxious?
  24. @Lilly-Baum Maybe the typo will be small enough for them to overlook! @Ggslpa I've been trying not to think about it since it's been two weeks already. I made another forum, but I think we can just post to this one since it's getting more activity than the one I did lol
  25. Someone started this thread back in July but there hasn't been too many replies! So, I'm cycling it again to hopefully get more responses! What regions are y'all from if you applied??
