Hey, I am in this program right now. There was a security breach that has affected everything (blackboard, email, wifi, UWinsite, Leddy Library, etc.), so I am not surprise that you have not been updated as staff and faculty are working to adjust current classes to accommodate.

Hey! Is anyone else in this group in the MSWwp at Windsor for September (Windsor campus, 32 months)? I'd love to connect!

I wrote a small summary paragraph and then point formed my roles and responsibilities. At the bottom of the experience form there is a trainings/workshops section. It is pretty small so I created a document on word listing the certificates. Since I used more pages than provided and had the word document, I printed everything and scanned it together into one document. Good luck with your application! Feel free to ask me any questions along the way ?

Thank you! ? I applied for September 2021 in Windsor and January 2022 in Peel. I was accepted for September and my January application is still processing. My average for my last two years is an 81.4, stats 92, research methods 88. My application had 9245 hours of experience. I have worked as a Caseworker at Victim Services for almost 2 years and volunteered there as a Crisis Responder for 10 months. I have also been working as a PSW for almost 4 years. Other relevant experience include Friendly Visitor through CAS and Volunteer as well as Volunteer Coordinator for Autism Ontario. Not sure if these hours ended up counting but I did submit my volunteer position as an Assistant Dance Teacher, Western Foot Patrol, and a paid summer position from high school at a Natural Medicine Office doing research for a newsletter. I'm not sure if this made a difference in my application but I did include 8 workshops and 16 certificates with my application. Most of them were just Certificates of Achievement.

I received an acceptance to Windsor's Regualr Track MSW For Working Professionals at 2:46pm today! I submitted my application April 8th so it was processed pretty quickly! I have seen a Facebook group for the regular 2 year MSW program - has one been made for the MSWwp?
-
Not yet ? The social work office closes at 3:30 so we might not even hear td ?

I'm so stressed lol! I made the mistake of looking at this forum while in class and haven't been able to pay attention since! I just keep flipping back and forth between this forum and student center! GOOD LUCK
-
Sorry to hear that - Good luck with Laurier! Did you find out through email or did student center update? Mine still says applied/released to program

I spoke to Julie the other day and she said that they are not done. They are aiming for mid March but she's hoping for sooner. Someone else told me that the social work department just did a hiring so that process probably took time away from reviewing applications. Good luck to you both!

I just stopped in King's (Western's) social work office and Julie said that their goal is to notify people about the 2 year MSW by mid-march but she's hopeful that it'll be sooner!
-
That's what I'm waiting on too! Last year people started hearing about the 2 year program on February 27th and I think the year before was March 8th. I have yet to hear about anyone getting accepted to the advance program this year and that will happen first. Good luck! It'll be any day now!!

https://www.ouac.on.ca/guide/omsas-conversion-table/ I could be wrong but my assumption is that your GPA is correlated with your school. So a person applying to York with a 90 average from Dalhousie would have a 4.0, while a student with a 90 average from Memorial would have a 3.9 GPA

Idk if you've already checked it out, but a lot of people from Laurier's online May cohort are in the thread I attached to this post. They'd have the best insight to what the Laurier program is like

My top school is King's. I am also considering applying to Laurier and Windsor. Where will you be applying?
