  1. I wouldn't say so yet. I got an interview this morning, so anything's possible
  2. What date did you submit your app? I submitted mine Dec 15 and am wondering if it's taking longer since I turned mine in the day it was due
  3. Does anyone know if Northwestern iBIS is done sending out interview invites? I've seen people get calls sporadically over the last few weeks.
  4. Thank you both for your replies! I'm going to go to the interview and see what I think of the program, but I think I'll ultimately apply for tech jobs.
  5. I'm applying straight out of undergrad. I was wavering about whether to apply this cycle at all, because I wasn't sure if I wanted to take a year or two to work as a lab tech or if I'd want to start a grad program right after college. So, this cycle, I applied to schools that I knew would all be long shots for me. I've gotten one interview at a program that I'm not sure will be the best fit for me. If I ultimately get accepted there, would it be stupid of me to turn that down, start applying for tech jobs, and try the application process again in a year or two?
  6. I am also waiting on Penn CAMB and reached out to my contact there. He said that the CAMB program as a whole got nearly double the number of applicants as last year, so it was crazy competitive. I applied to G&E, not MVP, but it sounded like they've made their decisions and if you haven't heard anything, you probably didn't get an interview. I'm bummed, it was my top choice. I wish they'd just send the rejection if that's what they're going to do. I hope the rest of your results turn out better than this!
  7. The pen idea is awesome! I decided to bake some holiday treats for my LOR writers. The baking helps keep me busy while I'm waiting to hear back and sweets are pretty hard to turn down.
  8. I'm pretty sure this is the first time in my life I've ever looked forward to a Monday. At least once it's a weekday there's a chance I'll hear back from some schools. Hope y'all are hanging in there! ?
  9. I applied to Tetrad and haven't heard anything. I'm thinking (hoping) we'll hear back next week, based on when last year's interview decisions went out.
  10. I did some digging into how ApplyWeb works because this same thing was stressing me out hardcore. The "Ready for Review" just indicates that every necessary component of your application has been received by the University you applied to. In essence, it's the same thing as "your application is complete." ApplyWeb unfortunately offers no up to date info on the admissions status of your application, only an e-mail from the University you applied to will do that. I hope the rest of your waiting ends up not being too stressful!
  11. I'm right there with you. I felt so awful even just submitting my apps when I had to leave the boxes for things like "awards/honors received" completely blank and died a bit inside any time I had to enter my major GPA. Not having any control at this point and having no idea when I'll hear anything back just sucks. And I'm freaking myself out because, based on the admissions results posted here, it looks like people are getting interviews at my top choice program and I haven't heard anything from them. It's gonna be a long weekend.....
  12. I'm very on pins and needles... Penn CAMB is my top choice and I've been refreshing the admissions results here and my e-mail like crazy all day. Some people have heard back and gotten interviews at Penn (and congrats to those that have!) but I haven't gotten anything from them. I hope y'all are doing okay with your wait! I'm finding it more stressful than doing the applications was.
  13. I bought Zelda: Breath of the Wild and so far have logged 100+ hours of gameplay since December 1. I'm thriving, clearly. Unrelated but: Everyone's pets are so cute!! Thank you for sharing their beautiful faces
  14. Hi all! I'm in the same boat, applying to Molecular/Systems Biology PhD programs right out of undergrad. Honestly it's super nerve-wracking having no idea what I'm going to be doing at this time next year or where I'll be... I purposefully didn't apply to many schools and the ones that I did apply to tend to be very selective. So I might not get in anywhere and end up looking for lab tech jobs if nothing in this app cycle pans out. Also, I feel you Bopie, I hate waiting to hear back, with no idea when I'll hear something and worrying about it being bad news.
  15. My semester doesn't end for another two weeks so theoretically my work should be keeping my busy. But in reality, I got back into Pokemon Go so that I could check my phone like my brain wants me to but also not obsessively refresh my e-mail. Also am very in favor of a cookie recipe exchange - I've got a recipe for soft, buttery sugar cookies that always seem so comforting during winter.
