  1. I was waitlisted at one MSW program that will start accepting people from the waitlist starting April 16 and ending June 1. I was admitted to my next choice MSW program. It requires me to submit a SIR (statement of intent to register) on April 15. Is it "OK" to sign an SIR for one school and then (if I'm lucky enough to get into the other school) go to the other school? I don't mind losing the $150 deposit. Should I tell the school where I've been accepted that I've been waitlisted at the other? Should I tell the school where I've been waitlisted that I've been accepted at the other?

  3. Thanks! No word on funding yet. I wrote to them last week about it and haven't heard back yet...
  4. I applied to UCLA on December 15 and was accepted on February 21.
  5. Congrats on your acceptance to CSULB! Stats: I'm 42yo. Worked and volunteered in social justice and politics for 20 years. Earned my MBA in 2015. I've volunteer as a counselor at a counseling center for 2 years. Undergrad GPA: 3.5. Grad GPA: 3.74.
  6. People who applied to Berkeley MSW: Have you heard anything at all from them? I applied on 12/3 and have heard nothing except from the email from their application system affirming that my application was submitted and that my payment was accepted. By comparison, UCLA has contacted me several times since I applied on 12/15 about application and fellowship related items. Should I be worried about no communication from Berkeley?
  7. People in forums from past years mention an interview process for Berkeley MSW applicants. I don't see any mention of interviews on Berkeley Social Welfare's website. Anybody know more about this? Thanks in advance.
