I’d say 23k a year for tuition plus a 300$ monthly stipend isn’t horrible. NYU is actually 45k+ in tuition, not including living expenses, and even with a max scholarship of 15k a year, that’s still 30k+living expenses per year. State schools will cost a fair amount less. I’ve heard good things about smith’s Program as well.

Got accepted to DU today as well with a 21k scholarship! Still hefty, but costs about the same as NYU with both scholarships.

Just talked to my admissions counselor, they will extend the date if you ask. Technically no school can require you to make an admissions decision before April 15th. So just ask them to extend!

Thanks! Still trying to see the financial package USC gave me, so that will determine some things.

I just got admitted to USC this afternoon, they want my decision by February 12th. They're part of the April 15th resolution so I'll look into that too, that's a quick turnaround.

Was first sent an email that my admissions status changed which showed my acceptance on the portal. A few days later I received an email as well!

Sure. Graduated with a BA in American Studies, cum. GPA of 3.8 Spent my undergrad interning in education (youth centers & teachers ed for summer schools). After graduating I began working at a residential treatment facility, and soon after became a direct care supervisor. Now I work at a middle school in behavioral counseling.

On Friday, I received my acceptance to NYU main campus 2-year program with a 15k in scholarship for the first year. Super excited, but also waiting to see my other results and weigh my options!
