Got a funded offer from QMUL last night, and then an offer from the University of Oxford this afternoon! Still waiting to hear about funding for Oxford, but I’m absolutely thrilled - they are my first acceptances!

Just been notified that I have been waitlisted for Georgetown! Considering my only other communications have been rejections, I don’t feel too bad about it. 
This is new to me - Is there anything I need to do? Eg. Should I write a response, or is it possible to request my ranking on the waitlist if I contact admission? 

It literally could just be that you haven't been notified. Not trying to false hope anyone but it's really not over until it's officially over. 

I'm in the same boat with Penn and NYU -- I know Penn's a lost cause, but NYU is truly keeping me on my toes.
Rejections definitely suck, but at least a PhD takes so much less time here in the UK. And there's a distinct lack of Trump :'D

I've started using 24 hour sets of SelfControl (an app that blocks any website you choose for a specified time--even if you restart the computer, go on incognito, etc) on this website, on my laptop. I'm too lazy to use my (very slow) phone, so I can either check this site every 24 hours, or at work. I'm actually able to focus on uni again, for the first time in a month. 10/10, would recommend to anyone.

Georgetown seems to be similar! Their deadline was way back at the start of December

I just got my first acceptance! Villanova!

Yeah it’s so handy, I only applied for my MA after my BA graduation in July for that September! The turnaround is super quick. Fingers crossed for your US applications ??

Oh cool! I applied to Kent for undergrad, and Oxford for the MSt (I'm in only in third year now!) I think my Oxford result is going to come out before the Cambridge MPhil deadline so I'll go for that if I don't get in. Back-up is Leeds, and if all else fails, I'll be staying in York (my BA). MA deadlines are so late here, meaning I can just apply after I find out about the other places, which is great! I'm already mentally preparing for the 2020 application cycle for the PhD though
