  1. Hello all! I just firmly accepted my offer at U of T. I have declined my offer at McMaster and Western, as well as my waitlist position at Dal. Best of luck to everyone on the waitlists! You got this!!
  2. Can you tell me why you chose U of T and not the other two? I'm trying to decide between the three (and being from the west coast I'm not too familiar with the areas and schools and such). Thanks in advance!!
  3. Congrats to everyone who has been accepted or received a waitlist position! I will be declining my offer at UVM and UTEP, as well as my waitlist position at WWU. Hopefully this helps someone
  4. Congrats to everyone who has received an acceptance letter or a waitlist position so far! I have been accepted to U of T, Western, and Mac. I haven't yet decided where to accept yet, but there will be two spots opening for anyone who is on the waitlist! We should all be very proud of ourselves, despite the outcome. Speaking from experience, I know how competitive this field is to get into (I was rejected from all schools that I applied to in previous years, so I know how upsetting rejection letters are). I was also rejected from McGill this year and still haven't heard anything back from Dal. Who even knows what schools look for in an applicant!! There are a million and one things to do from now until next year's application cycle that you can do to put yourself ahead of the game. Stay strong future SLPs
  5. Have you heard anything back from Dal yet??
  6. I received an interview as well and will be traveling from Victoria! Good luck!!
  7. @bibliophile222 Thank you so much for the helpful information!! If I decide on UVM here's hoping I can get a scholarship or two...
  8. @bibliophile222 Thank you so much for your detailed reply, I really appreciate the information! I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying UVM so far--despite the insane workload! That's really great that you get to "ease into" taking on clients and that the profs are generally good. I actually did my post bacc online through UVM so there will hopefully be a few familiar names that I will recognize. When did you find our about scholarships? Also, did you choose the thesis route or the non-thesis route? Why did you make the choice that you did?
  9. Hello hello! I am hoping to get some advice from anyone who has been to/is currently attending the MSc program at the University of Vermont for SLP. I just got my acceptance letter from them on Feb 5th (WAHOO!) and am wondering if anyone can provide insight about the campus, program, state of Vermont, etc. I'm originally from the West Coast of Canada so this would be a pretty big move for me if I decide to accept the offer (still waiting to hear back from all of the other schools I have applied to, but this is definitely my top choice for American schools I think). Thanks in advance
