  1. Hey all! Anyone who got into University of Montana have any advice for someone applying for the next cycle in Fall 2021? I applied to their distant program for Fall 2019 and was rejected. My fiancé and I have been talking about making a move to Montana in the next year or two so I would probably be applying to their distant program for Fall 2021 unless I know we will be in state by then cause then I would rather apply to their on campus program. They’re my top choice at the moment. Thank you!
  2. Yes, I am referring to the summers slpa track program! Thank you for the link.
  3. Hi all, I hope everyone is doing well right now considering everything that is going on. I applied to programs for Fall 2019 and got rejected to all but one (waitlisted and later rejected). I was also accepted into Eastern New Mexico University twice for Spring 2020 and Fall 2020 (rolling apps) and decided that their program is not for me. I have been temporarily laid off from my job and haven’t worked since March 14th. I also finished my SLPA internship on March 16th but can’t apply for my license due to closures. My plan is to apply to schools for Fall 2021 and those include: -Idaho State (online) -University of Montana (online) -Nova Southeastern (online) -University of Northern Colorado (online) -Northern Arizona University (online) So when I applied to ISU and UM, I noticed that they had the same essay prompt. NSU also seemed to have the same prompt from what I can tell. Can anyone tell me UNC and NAUs essay prompts so I can start working on them now while I am unemployed and done with my SLPA program? I can only clean my house so much. Haha! Thank you all!
  4. Sorry, I ended up not applying this cycle so I wasn’t checking grad cafe. I applied to university of South Carolina for the Fall 2019 cycle.
  5. From what I saw they aren't doing rolling admissions for the summer LA cohort so I think there may be spots still available but this worries me since they offered spots to winter 2020 acceptances. I also read the same thing about the classes on weekends. Other than that, that is all I know. I don't think she has enrolled into courses yet. They work with you to try and find the most local site to you to do your practicum hours. Might have to drive an hour away.
  6. I am applying to the Summer 2020 LA cohort. My friend got accepted into NSU's Winter 2020 cohort and they offered her a spot for the LA cohort and she said yes.
  7. Certain programs want certain things. Like university of South Carolina’s application deadline is a certain date but they want you to submit before thanksgiving. It’s all different but usually professors don’t do letters of rec until closer to the deadline
  8. I will private message you in a little bit. I did it for ENMU in July.
  9. I don’t know what your stats are but my professors “golden rule” is to apply to at least 3 schools. So I would at least apply to URI and then one in Massachusetts and one in Connecticut.
  10. Which schools are you applying to? I have submitted one so far and I’m about to submit two more after I get paid tomorrow.
  11. When you get a phone call with ENMU’s area code, and you think it’s a phone call to get accepted but it’s the graduate school asking about a transcript ?
  12. So they require only one semester in person, and then the rest of it is online. This is helpful for me because I don't want to move away for two years but one semester would be do-able for me and my family. According to their stats and looking at Grad Cafe, it seemed to look like they accept lower GPA's and GRE scores (which would be my best bet) and that they look at the whole person, instead of just a number. I think it is going to be almost impossible for me to get into a California school. ENMU also has a non-traditional essay which I feel like could be helpful to getting in as well. And they are also rolling admissions, which give you more of a chance! So we'll see, I am applying to a few other schools as well. Hoping to get in eventually.
  13. Good to know as well. I have submitted my application for ENMU for Fall 2020 so it’ll be awhile before I hear back.
  14. For California programs, I applied to Sacramento State (they pretty much only accept Sacramento State students due to a course they require that’s only offered at Sac State), University of the Pacific and CSU Northridge’s online spring program. Rejected to all. I was not surprised due to having a lower GPA.
  15. Does anyone know if I can send my Recommendation Request Links before I submit my application? I have a professor that wants the electronic link by November 10th but the application is not due until January 10th. Also, does anyone have any information about UNR's program? Thank you in advance.
  16. Unfortunately, I did not! Congrats to you for making it to the next step. Good luck!
  17. We should be hearing back from CSUN soon for the Distance Spring cohort!! Last year, around this time, people were getting invited to do the survey (interview). I know that they said the end of October, only a couple more weeks. Good luck to everyone and I hope we hear back shortly!
  18. Yeah, but if I don’t get into ENMU, you can’t change your application on CSDCAS so I would need those letters for other programs.
  19. I was conditionally approved for the winter 2020 quarter on Friday. I was told I would receive an official Conditional Approval letter and additional information today but I haven’t received it yet.
  20. So long story but I actually did not end up applying yet, due to them changing the application due date to two weeks earlier. As well as changing it to CSDCAS. Since it was originally not on CSDCAS, I had not asked my professors to write my letters of recommendations yet for my other schools that I am applying to during this cycle. So once they had changed to CSDCAS, I could not submit my application without having my letters of recommendation included. They did send me an email this morning saying "Please make sure to complete your CSDCAS application and take your CASper interview. I have attached our website and the info you need to complete your application. We look forward to reviewing you for this cohort!" So now, I am wondering if I should rush and send it in! (I did do my CASper interview back in July, so I guess I might have to do it again).
