  1. I am from Bloomington as well. Small world. I would love to connect!
  2. I am only applying to Indiana University (Jan 15 due date). If I am rejected/waitlisted I am going to apply to Akron/Cincinnati which have later dates. Out of Field, 160 V/152 Q/ 4.5 AW 3.71 Overall GPA, 4.0 CSD
  3. I am doing something similar. Took Anatomy, Phonetics, and Child Langiage Development this Fall. I am taking Statistics and Chemistry for ASHA requirements this Spring (I think I have a Psych and Bio that will work). If I am accepted I will need Audiology and Speech Science this Summer before classes start.
  4. Unless schools list a minimum AW score you should apply. If they list an AW score I would call the program before spending the time and money on the application.
  5. I would personally take it. Getting through the application process for any SLP school is so difficult and there is no guarantee on getting same /better GRE scores or any further acceptances. A bird in the hand...
  6. IU is my first choice and I am hoping to be accepted for Fall 2020 start date! I would love to know how the application process was? Did you need leveling courses? When did you find out you were accepted? If you don’t mind my asking would you mind sharing your GPA/GRE?
  7. Wow, thanks so much for sharing! I also am a 2003 grad, education degree. I have worked in multiple school settings but have also been home many years with my children. I am working at a school right now as an aide and with children with disabilities. I also have a child who had a birth defect and experience with that. (She had speech and OT). My undergrad GPA was 3.69 and I have taken two graduate classes in education (one with an A and one with an A -) I am studying for the GRE and hoping to get scores as good as yours but it is hard to get back into math/study mode. How did you prepare for GRE and what methods did you use to study?
  8. Also interested in your GPA/BS degree and GRE... these are my 2nd and 3rd choice program (after local university).
  9. Thanks for sharing this. I am a career changer with roots firmly planted due to children/aging parent and a spouse with a fantastic career. I am limited to the local University (which is excellent and my first choice) and the online options that don’t require pre-reqs prior to application. I have a 3.69 and change and can only find 3 online programs that seems to fit that bring me to 4 (Emerson, NYU and Baylor). If anyone has any additional suggestions for online programs that allow pre-reqs post application I would love to hear them. My background is in education. Edited to add I have taken two Graduated courses in the past in education and received A’s.
  10. I realize this is a zombie thread but I was wondering if you would share the professor that you had for Anatomy at MGH?
