  1. School: University of Cincinnati Type of Program: Clinical Psychology Acceptance Date: 2/24/2020 Really excited about this one!
  2. School: University of Florida Type of Program: Clinical Psychology (Pediatric Psychology track) Acceptance Date: 2/20/2020 POI: KD Still in shock. Does anyone else feel like this is surreal? This is my 3rd round so to get an acceptance now almost feels like it can't really be happening.
  3. Was just offered a position at University of Florida in POI: KD's lab! They'll send official offer letters next week but I think I'm hooked Congrats to everyone else who got in!
  4. Just got an offer for POI: KD's lab at University of Florida! Formal offer to come late next week, but will likely accept SO excited!
  5. They generally offer 2-3 fully funded graduate assistantships per year which completely cover tuition and give you a small but livable stipend. The students they don't give full assistantships to still receive clinical traineeships where they work at a practicum site for their stipend and have a few credit hours paid for, but not many. It's a good program with some good opportunities. However, some of the faculty there are pretty shady people and I don't recommend the program to anyone with thin skin. If anyone wants more info, feel free to PM me.
  6. Will the posters from the results page who got accepted to Eastern Michigan please PM me with your POIs? Just so I know how much hope to hold onto Congrats!
  7. Just received an email that I was wait-listed for Eastern Michigan's Clinical Psych program. POI is CP! Really hoping for this one to work out, but if not, at least I can go into my other interviews feeling confident! Congrats to all who received offers!
  8. LOVE your positivity and appreciate this viewpoint so much! After applying my first time, I got a Masters to better establish myself, and after the second attempt, I got a job as a research a research coordinator to get even more experience! In between I took a 2 week vacation to Spain and presented at a conference in Ireland. You should absolutely travel, live your life, get excited about the possibilities in the next round, and enjoy every second! And thanks for your encouraging reply to my post! It's so hard to cling to hope in this process but I appreciate you reminding me that I still have a chance! And that even if this time isn't it, it isn't the end of the world.
  9. Starting to feel some dread here... Just saw that my last school I was holding out for sent out invites yesterday and I didn't get one. So I'm officially at 4 interviews, one of which already took place and the first round of offers went out and I didn't get one, although I'm waitlisted at one school and haven't gotten any official rejections. I have my last 3 interviews coming up and the pressure on them is starting to mount. This is my third round applying and I really need it to go well. Any positive thoughts or wisdom anyone can share?
  10. Do you mean PhD programs in Clinical Psychology? If so, I got an interview invite from my POI at UC in mid-December and got the details on the interview last week. You can DM me for details!
  11. I saw that some people in the pediatric school psych concentration got interview invites the other day but I haven’t seen anything for the clinics program. I agree it’s getting kind of late though...
  12. Also heard from Georgia State who said they are still reviewing applications. There is hope! That said, has anyone heard from GSU POI: LC? Or any POIs in the General Clinical track?
  13. Hi guys! I heard Dalhousie's Clinical program was making offers already so I reached out and got this response: "We have submitted our first round of admissions and are waiting to hear from those applicants if they accept our offer. We will be moving into our second round of admission in early Feb." Didn't get an offer this round but congrats to those who did! If you got an offer from POI: CC and don't want it, please let them know when you can so I stand a chance ?

  15. Hi everyone! I just wanted to offer some encouragement during this super stressful, ridiculous process. This is my third time applying for programs. The first time, fresh out of undergrad but feeling lucky, I applied to 5 PhD programs. Got waitlisted at one (which I'm confident was an accident) and was rejected from all the others. On a whim and literally while in my Social Psych class, I applied to a Clinical Psych Masters program and got in with a full assistantship! I figured I'd get more experience and try again. Second time, during my Masters, I was feeling super confident and prepared and awesome with all this experience I'd gotten, so I applied to 11 places to cast a wide net and waited for the invites to come flooding in. Spoiler alert: they didn't. I got one interview and was promptly rejected. Oof. This time, I'm a research coordinator at Cincinnati Children's Hospital with even more experience, and basically have to get in this time if I don't want to retake the GRE again (I DO NOT). I applied to 10 schools and, as of right now, have 4 interviews, 3 of which are at my top 3 choices. I'm still waiting to hear back from one more school, so at this point I'm feelin' straight up okay. All of this isn't to say that I'm some expert or anything because I obviously don't have any offers yet and for all I know I could be in for round 4 ? but I just want to say this: let's be honest, your timeline may not be what you imagined it to be. Mine definitely wasn't; I turned 26 yesterday and I thought I'd be almost done with my PhD by now. But that doesn't mean that what we want won't happen for us. It just may mean that the path to get there takes a few unexpected turns. Let's keep our heads up, maybe have an extra glass of wine, and try to be as kind and encouraging to ourselves as we are to each other. ☺️ Edit: This came out VERY cheesy, my b. Basically: even if it doesn't happen this time, that doesn't mean it won't next time. We're all smart, qualified, freaking cool people.
