  1. Hi everyone! I know many may be looking for research jobs and just wanted to post that the lab I managed for the past year is looking for a new lab manager as I transition to grad school! It is part-time in Lincoln, NE for a developmental lab looking at executive function development in elementary-aged kiddos. You would be responsible for supervising a longitudinal study, and managing RAs and day-to-day tasks. I also worked as a YTS to get clinical hours and thought it was the idea combo of clinical/research experience. If you'd be interested in learning more, feel free to shoot me a message
  2. Need some advice--I reached out to the DCT for an update on my admissions status following interviews (during interview day he said to reach out to him) and was informed that I was a high alternate. I haven't talked to my POI since the post-interview email, and was wondering if I should also send them an email to say I'm still interested? I'm unsure how to word it, as I still want to express my interest without coming across as too much! Any insight would be appreciated!
  3. If the UMSL acceptance poster sees this and is willing to DM their initials I’d really appreciate it! Congratulations!!!
  4. After interviewing, besides the person an offer was extended to, is it common for everyone else to be waitlisted? Or will they only waitlist their top few and send rejections to the others? I was just waitlisted at a school and was curious!
  5. School: St. John's University Type: PhD Date of invite: 2/5/21 Interview date(s): Multiple events between 2/15-2/26 DM for POI: Sure!
  6. Yes! In an interview I had, there was a 45 minute lab meeting with the PI and grad students. It was to give a general overview of their lab, recent projects, publications, and future directions. I really liked it because it gave insight into the dynamic of the lab (grad student-mentor relationship, etc.). All the applicants invited to interview with that particular lab were there and we just went around a give a brief introduction of ourselves. It was mostly a presentation where we listened and asked questions. Hope this helped!
