@KiraBerl and @histori041512, recruitment weekend is being organized right now for the beginning of March, so people should be receiving something soon. I'm not sure the exact time, but expect something soon.

Same question. Given the past results, I also think it will happen any day now.

Hi everyone - I've been staying quiet and avoiding Grad Cafe as much as I could stand it. I was among the recent round of Yale rejects earlier this week, but other than that it's been radio silence and I've been struggling not to interpret that as a bad sign. If anyone is looking for something to keep you distracted, there was a wonderful podcast episode on NPR recently that was about the psychology of comparing yourself against other people: Counting Other People's Blessings. I don't know if it will help but I'm making the intention that every time I start getting anxious I'll remind myself of some event in my life from the past ten years or so that was a blessing. Going through old photos helps a lot to remind me of all the good things that have happened. Best of luck to you all.

Northwestern admit! JHS reject. They seem to come all at once now. Anyone knows when NYU & Columbia usually sends out their reply?

OK here's hoping there's still a chance. 

They will start rolling in in a week or two. I think It'll be more nerve-wracking then because it could happen anytime.

Currently grappling with the reality that I probably didn’t get into Penn and UVA based on a lack of communication. I’m just reminding myself that I worked hard to get here and that no matter the result, nothing will change that. I hope it works out for myself and everyone else but just remember there’s always next year and if we are truly passionate about this field of study, nothing will keep us from eventually reaching our goals ? good luck everyone 

I have this weird calm before the storm feeling as I refresh the results page. No reports from the schools I applied to though.

I feel really gutted by the radio silence from Yale. It was by far my first choice, with the best faculty fit, and was even recommended by several professors at my MA program as a good fit for me.

Seeing other people hear back from the schools I've applied to makes me increasingly convinced that I'm about to get rejected from everything. ? Anyone else in the same boat?

Michigan does not interview. It is a department policy.

Another Chicago acceptance was posted! Would love to know what region/time period the acceptances are in. I felt Chicago was a bit of a reach for me, but still anxious to hear back. 

Northwestern spent early January in the later stages of an Assistant Professor search process, so it may be later than last year.

How likely is it that Northwestern and Brown will send out decisions this week? I saw that last year they were both around Jan. 31st. 
I am feeling a little anxious as the day gets closer.

My POI there didn't mention anything like that. I want to say it might depend of your POI as he let me know that he and the other European historians were quite enthusiastic about my application and hoping for good news. 
Then again, who knows because their website says they won't be sending decisions until March. There is definitely enough time between then and now to be called in to interview.

Wanted to share that I heard from a European history professor at UMichigan today that their committee met and did final reviews of applications yesterday and they have sent them on to the graduate committee for final decision-making there.
He did mention that they had only about 15 spots for the entire department for this application cycle and 5-6 open for European applicants. Some people might be getting decision letters earlier than the posted date on the Rackham website.
