Personally, I think you should wait unless you have new experiences or information to add to your application that could influence your spot on the waitlist. If you are waitlisted, you won't hear from them unless they're offering you admission off of the waitlist, or to let you know their class is full and therefore your application is no longer in consideration. I know it's harsh, but that was my experience the first time I applied to grad school. Best of luck to you though!! This process is not easy.

I declined offers from Saint Mary's College, Vermont, Western Kentucky, and George Washington and I took myself off the waitlist at Miami University and Idaho State.

I personally applied to 14 (I know, it's a lot), but I wanted to have a variety of options and all of the schools I applied to seem like they would be a good fit. It definitely gets expensive with applications though!

I also applied to the distance learning programs at WKU and Idaho State but haven't heard back yet!

I have only heard from 4 schools so far. I'm constantly checking my email... this waiting period is so nerve wracking, but I'm also super excited to be hearing back from schools! Good luck to everyone!!
