OH! great to know! Last year I got the email from Ryerson about an initial interview on like December 30th, but maybe now I can stress a little less haha
Oh interesting! OK! thanks for letting me know I thought York's deadline was the 1st like the others haha. Well looks like I'll just spend the holiday season in more anticipation of those emails haha.
Has anyone heard anything about York, SFU, Windsor, Ryerson, or Queen's reaching out about first round interviews yet? I haven't seen these schools pop up on here yet so I was just curious.
Also big congrats to everyone who's gotten a first round interview so far! Best of luck!!
Hey everyone!
OK, wanting some opinions on this. Last round of applications I interviewed at final round for a PI and while they said I was their top candidate they ended up not being high enough priority to take a graduate student. They have been emailing me and checking in since March and reminded me of the application deadline for December reassuring me that they will be 100% taking a student and encouraging me to apply.
A part of me just assumes that this means I'll at least make it to final round or they'll end up taking me this round OR that I shouldn't get my hopes up and continue to stress like everyone else.
so I applied to roughly 13 schools, didn't interview for 12, and the one I did I was waitlisted for. Anyone have any idea what the actual chances are for getting an acceptance off the waitlist? This is my second year applying and trying to not get down in the dumps about this process.
So I had called the admissions officer and she basically said the same thing but wouldn’t tell me if I was his number 1 choice or whatever - just that the program director and my POI have deemed me as fit for the program but they just couldn’t accept any students yet (they didn’t have first round priority). Though I haven’t heard from my POI since my interview, should I reach out and email them? Thanks!
Congratulations to everyone receiving acceptances so far!! To whoever has received an acceptance from Ryerson’s clinical program, do you mind DMing PM initials?
So I found out yesterday I’m on the waitlist for Ryerson’s program which is great - considering I’ve been rejected from everywhere else. Does anyone know if waitlists are ranked? Also, what are the chances of actually getting off the waitlist and into the program?
Hey everyone! Congrats to all of you on your acceptances so far! I was wondering if anyone knew about which POI’s for Ryerson’s clinical program have sent out acceptances - been almost 3 weeks since my interview at interview day so getting quite apprehensive. Thanks!
