I received my acceptance from Weill Cornell earlier this afternoon. It's my first choice and I am super excited!

Looks like it’s just people that didn’t receive an interview 

I went to the second interview weekend and the program said that they would send decisions out two weeks latest (ie: the week of 15th-19th).  Not sure if this applies to the first weekend, but hopefully this calms y'all down! It very likely could have been an unofficial acceptance from a PI as well

Idk this post seems like a troll in response to the BCMB results.... not to come for anyone, but I'd be mad surprised that only one person has received and acknowledged their admission update for neuroscience in the results section and then not frolicked into the forum to post an update as multiple people had been talking about WCGS in the preceding days, like @Neuro-tic or @Smoothbrain or @davidoff05 to name a few.

I don't think you feel dejected and perhaps wait on some people to post an update here on in the results before feeling crappy. Peace and Love. 

I saw that someone created the 2021 neuroscience admissions topic around this same time last year, so I figured it's never to early to start preparing for the 2022 cycle. Hope we can help each other throughout this process, and best of luck to everyone!

I have my interview for NBB this week, it looks like each weekend had ~30 people. Does anyone know how many offers they will send out? It’s my dream program/school so I’m really hoping I receive an offer!

Is anyone else dying from anxiety post Columbia NBB interview? 
I know they still haven't sent out most offers since the second interview weekend is this week, but I can't help but drive myself crazy replaying everything I could have done better (since it was my first round of interviews). 
It's my top choice and I know I'll be heart broken if I don't get in. 

I know this feeling. I had one interview like that recently. I'm sorry, feels horrible, especially when you personally feel like it was such a great fit. Keep your head high and keep going!

I interviewed during the second dates and they told us on Friday that they'll be making offers in the next two weeks. 

I think all invites are going to be sent out by mid February!

Has anyone from the first Weill Cornell Interview dates heard back about an offer? The anxiety

Got a rejection from Yale. 

Hey I just wanted to let you know this post is what made me go look at Drexel for the first time then decide to apply. I was trying to remember where I had seen that original suggestion. I interviewed with them a couple weeks ago and now am waiting for a decision! So, thanks again for posting this, may have not ended up on my radar otherwise.

Program in Neuroscience

Just got an offer from Harvard!!! So excited!!! Would love to help in turns of tips about interviews!!

I'm just trying to help! It seemed you were implying that A&N wasn't a neuroscience program which it definitely is. There is no one "neuroscience" program at BU, there are multiple. It would rub students in either department the wrong way if you said *the* neuroscience program at BU was GPN. Just word to the wise if you have an interview with either department.
Another tip---and I'm trying to communicate this as gently as possible because this is an incredibly stressful time for you all---but try not to come off with a tone you don't intend on this forum. Graduate students (and research assistants) from BU lurk here; you would not want them sharing unkind details with admissions committees.

The standard decision date is April 15 (I’m pretty sure this applies to all PhD programs, but could be wrong), so you have plenty of time! Def don’t feel pressured to respond right away with anything other than acknowledgment/appreciation for the offer if you need time to think about it. But if you know you won’t go to a school you’ve gotten an acceptance to, it’s nice to let them know ASAP so they can offer your spot to someone else

Just received a rejection from Sinai!

Hi everyone, I applied last cycle and just wanted to say that I hope this cycle brings you what you wished for, but if not, please please don't let it crush your dreams! It is heartbreaking to not be accepted anywhere after getting hopes up and putting in all of the effort, but take some time to evaluate your options and whether you still want to go to grad school, and if so, apply again next year!  Many people apply multiple times. It took me a couple of tries as well -- if you want to discuss options/generally vent, feel free to PM me.  Lastly, this year there is the added struggle (I think) that program sizes are smaller, and between (hopefully) regularly sized programs and a little bit more experience, next year's cycle could be much more fruitful!
