  1. I've been given a CGS-D, score 17.86, committee 3. I'm in interdisciplinary studies and this is my second time applying. I wish so badly to share this with those who didn't win this arbitrary lottery. I was wait-listed last year, which didn't amount to anything. Those of you who are heavy with disappointment --try to forget and move on. You will get it next year. For real. My details for those who care: I'm in second year and this is my second time applying. Last year, I was waitlisted at 12.95. My proposal is almost the exact same but I've since completed doctoral coursework with a GPA of 4.33. I had a strong MA GPA (4.17), too, but a crappy undergraduate GPA. Perhaps, without my doctoral transcript they weighed my undergraduate transcript with more weight? Also new on this successful application --in comparison to my unsuccessful one last year-- are two refereed pubs, two conferences, a couple more RAships, TAships, research affiliations and my dissertation committee was finalized. I mention this latter part because I think my committee is SSHRC-sexy (one CRC and a Lansdowne Chair in Law).
  2. I'm so sorry, better luck next year. Not only are these scores arbitrary to us, but to the awards committee, too? Gradschool24, in socio, scored a fellowship with 15.93.
  3. I haven't gotten any emails about anything, either. The roll-out took a week (maybe more?) last year, so I wouldn't worry over not receiving an email until Monday passes. I recognize this is not comforting, sorry.
  4. I'm really sorry for this disappointment. That's a very high score. Last year, some committees awarded students with scores in the 11s...
  5. The lasting effects of receiving/opening this e-mail is hitting me harder than any double Americano can.
  6. During last year's competition, I was notified of my outcome on May 1st, 2020. I was shortlisted at 12.95/20 --this did not materialize into an award. I was pretty devastated. Fingers crossed for us all.
  7. Waitlisted at 12.95/20, don't remember which committee. Posting to see if any of you waitlisted hopefuls got awarded.
  8. I really, really, really appreciate you saying this. Thank you.
  9. Short margins. I got rejected/wait-listed with a 12.95 / 20.
  10. Extranet login information received 6:24 (UBC-O applicant, pacific time zone). Results posted 8:32. Rejected, placed on the waiting list with a score of 12.95 / 20. Just completed first year of my program. I'm crushed. I hope better luck comes your way, take care, guys.
