  1. Anyone here going to Rutgers PsyD program in the fall of 2021? We have started a group chat on slack, if you want to be part of it please DM me! Happy to connect!
  2. School: Rutgers University GSAPP Type: Clinical PsyD Track: General Acceptance/Waitlist/Rejection: Accepted off the waitlist Type of Notification: Email from program director followed by official letter Date Notified: 4/9/21 DM for POI: Yes
  3. Keeping busy with kids and work and honestly just trying to make it day to day.. have a hard time distracting myself but thankful it’s only a week until the 15th. Really hope people will make decisions soon though and things might get moving before the 15th..
  4. Are a lot of you still holding on to offers? I am still on two waitlists but getting super nervous as we are only a week out from the 15th.. I was pretty hopeful about it but feeling less so at this point.
  5. Is anyone else still waiting to hear from LIU Brooklyn for their clinical PhD program? They've send out acceptances in waves in the past year and I've only seen one wave and no one else post after this year. Wondering if someone here heard and just hasn't posted in the results? Feel free to dm me if you don't want to post. On that note, someone in this forum declined their offer and was then called again a week later asking if they had made a decision yet... did anyone else here decline and offer to LIU Brooklyn's PhD and had the same happen? wondering if that's why there hasn't been another round of offers..
  6. So I guess that means it’s not necessarily over yet. I don’t know my exact place on the waitlist but they said I am high on it. So what do people do who have offers from other programs that they would consider if they don’t make it off the waitlists? Since you technically have to commit to that by the 15th. What if they commit and then hear back from a higher choice after that date...I thought the whole point was everyone would find out that day.
  7. I have reached out every 2-3 weeks or so to check in and reiterate my interest since being placed on the waitlist. Last time I checked in was last week, one program said they expect to see a lot of movement in the next two weeks, and that my application is still being very much considered. The other program I reached out to Friday and haven’t heard yet. I don’t plan to follow up anymore at this point until April 15th or after. I think on April 15th you could reach out since that’s the day everyone has to make decisions. I would hope they would have an update by then or the next day. But I’m really hoping I will hear from either of the two waitlists either before or on that day without having to reach out. No idea what you can day I guess it depends if you have another offer or not. If you have another offer you could say I am reaching out to see if you had an update on my waitlist status. I remain highly interested in attending x and have not accepted any offer since x remains my first choice etc. What’s everyone else’s opinion? Should we reach out again on the 15th or not?
  8. It sounds like lots of people are still on waitlists. I don’t know why I thought I would have heard from at least one by now, and I’m a bit worried I’m getting my hopes up. I was just wondering how normal it is to be on the waitlist still at this point? Do people really get off waitlists rather late usually or does anyone think this year is especially slow? I truly wish it wouldn’t be dragged out until the 15th.. I’ve been waiting for over 5 weeks now and it’s so frustrating to be in this limbo. I know I need to be patient but also my top choice emailed me two weeks ago that movement is beginning to occur and whether I had accepted another offer yet and radio silence still since. I know 2 weeks is probably nothing for them but it is starting to feel like an eternity...
  9. This waitlist limbo is truly hell... Anyone think things will finally get moving this week
  10. Has anyone heard from LIU Brooklyn's PhD program? I know that they made a first round of offers, but wondering if that is it now?
  11. To those feeling "too" old, I get it, I am turning 35 this summer. I sometimes tell my current PI that I feel sad about not having chosen this career earlier, and he always points out to me how valuable my life experiences have been, how intentional I am and how age sometimes really helps.. Plus he always reminds me that I have my three amazing kids who I love to death and who bring me so much joy (also drive me nuts..) but having a family also taught me how to juggle school, work, research and family and be more organized and intentional with my time. Not to say it wouldn't be nice to be doing this in my early twenties, or even late twenties, but I don't necessarily think it's always a downside to be a bit older. I still have so much time to do what I love, and my kids will be a bit older and more independent once I finish grad school. Plus I feel like a kid at heart lol
  12. Yes, I am on two waitlists, one for my first choice, and with each week that passes I get less hopeful. I truly hope people will make decisions soon
  13. Same been on the waitlist for my first choice since January 27th.... losing it bit by bit?
