From a friend I know Dr. Fenton has only accepted phd from mercy hurst. They said Dr. Fenton directly told them this while interviewing them. I have said all I've been told so dont hate the messages or debate me on this since it supposedly came straight from his mouth

The school can legally make you pay the first year of tuition if you do this. It's unlikely but there would be nothing you could do. Also, do you really want this black mark on you to begin your career. You never know what doing this could cost you in the future

Just want to point out NSF considers physical/archeology/biological anth a stem vs culture isn't so we are dealing with two completely different things and I have noticed it is easier, still tough just easier compared, to get into culture programs vs the anthro stem qualified fields

Well, I was hoping to go travel outside the US but turns out my fellowship goes to 3 days before I must report to my job so that's not happening. I plan on buying the diploma display cases from all three universities I have gone to so I have something to hang up in my new office. Other than that ill be saving for a down payment for a house since I plan on being at the new city for a long time or I may wait till I am officially tenured before I buy.

Safeguard is to learn as many new skills as you can. Always build up as many connections as you can. Lastly, why worry when worst case you can join the military and start at 50k a year worst case scenario

Can you ask for an extension? If not you must decide and if you back out legally they could make you pay for that first semester. Unlikely but still a possibility and there would be nothing you could do. Most likely they will give you more time though.

To me jeans are unacceptable. I know so many professors make fun of the people in jeans. All my advisor's would punish someone if they were jean. It's unprofessional and you are there right now to make a good impression not a bad one

Wait list can vary. Depends on the school and who they offer. I say if your in the top two your in good shape.
