  1. Darn, sorry to hear I also applied hoping to do Asian IR stuff so I'm pretty bummed out too. As for the waitlist, they didn't mention anything about it in their email at least... unless anyone else has heard otherwise?
  2. Hey all! For anyone still waiting on USC, I sent an email today asking about the status of my application and I got a generic email with the following information back: Almost 200 applications received, 18 offers made Successful candidates were notified by email on Sunday, February 21 Decisions were input into the system on Tuesday, February 23 and will take between 48-72 hours to show up As a result, those of us who haven't heard back can likely anticipate a reject. But keep your heads up and best of luck for any other applications you have pending!
  3. So far got accepted into McGill (PhD Political Science, IR subfield) and Waterloo (Balsillie School, PhD in Global Governance). Haven't gotten any funding information yet (formal letter forthcoming) but been scheduling some interviews with the profs at Waterloo! Best of luck to all those still waiting for results and if anyone has questions about UBC feel free to let me know (did my BA and MA there)!
  4. Claiming an acceptance for McGill. Got an email from the DGS not too long ago--IR application. And I think waitlist might be a good sign, especially since I'm sure a number of those with initial accepts might opt for a different school instead, so keep an eye out and good luck!
  5. Hoorayy!!! Congratulations!!! Did they reach out by phone or by email? Woooo!!! Congrats on the offer!!!
  6. Hey all! Long-time lurker breaking my professor's advice not to check TheGradCafe in order to wish everyone good luck. Again, it was a tough year and an even tougher application cycle from the sound of things, so keep your heads up regardless of the outcome (I haven't heard back from a single one, so bracing myself for the next week or 3 of decisions)! Also, I think I saw someone applying to UBC-- did my undergrad and my MA there, so happy to chat directly for those considering applying there.
