Same here. Received the acceptance email. at 10:05 MST. Congrats, lemepris:)
I also think that reapplication increases the chance. My previous application was rejected at the first stage but some comments were helpful. Considering that the reapplication process is a part of the process of improving my research project helped me a lot. Good luck, everybody.

Yes, mine says the same, along with a "congratulations" near the end of the email. The language is definitely confusing but I think that means you got it!

Apparently it’s a multistage review process. First the proposals are reviewed by the independent reviewers, then the high scoring one have to be “pitched” to a higher body for final approval. The ones that don’t make it to that final stage are released once it’s official that they didn’t. It gives them the most time for revisions.

Haha same situation here and haven't got much hope for this now. Two of my cohort-mates received rejections yesterday (via their PIs) and their Fastlane status in now 'Declined'. No change on the portal for me, however

I really hope today is the day.
Already got two rejections on Friday. Not super optimistic about this one.

For those who got 2.6, and only one bad review, seems really worth reapplying and using the comments to improve it! It was my last shot saddly, but I'm sure the reviews will improve my thesis once I recover from the major burn.

I was really hoping we would get an email at 3 pm ET today. This wait is preventing me from fully focusing on my writing. Ugh.

In 2020 and 2019 the results were released on April 8th. That doesn't guarantee anything for this year, but I'm hoping for tomorrow.

I'm going to guess, based on previous years, that we might not hear until April 7th. 3 of the last 4 years have had Monday notifications. Guys, that's one week from today, and apparently I'm the only one freaking out here!!!

So, because I'm a weirdo, here are some stats about award notification in years past:
March 18, 2013: Request for revised budget from one applicant
April 8, 2013/April 9, 2012/April 6, 2011/April 12, 2010: Notification (both rejections and "no need to reapply" emails)
So, it looked like the first week or two of April for new information!
It is interesting to note that official notification of awards comes in snail mail...but people get notified beforehand by email that they need not reapply.
My comp/qual exams start Monday, so I have plenty to worry about other than W-G, but still....

We'll know by April 16 for sure (two weeks before the May 1st deadline). But yeah, the wait is killing me...

I don't think there's any connection between the two. Your proposal in Stage 2 will be evaluated afresh by 3 external reviewers who had nothing to do with Stage 1. So whoever has moved to Stage 2 is positioned equally and everyone is starting again from a blank slate.

Posting to follow for the latest cycle. Applied in Nov 2020. Anyone else here?

The exact numbers will become clearer once the rejections are released, but right now receiving request for transcript only means we're past the first round. If previous years are anything to go by, around 250 applicants make it to the second round and of those only 60-70 are eventually selected.
