  3. siiiiiigh. thanks!
  4. Has anyone heard back from UofT for health promo? my application has been under review since late Jan/early Feb ?
  5. honestly ur stats arent even average theyre literally above average girl r u kidding. im here with a meh gpa and no relevant experience/research experience like ??
  6. Do you know which stream?
  7. That's a really tough situation to be in. Have you exhausted all of your options (ie., try emailing/calling all of your previous profs you don't think would say yes, explain your situation. I think they will be willing to help?) All the best! Edit: also, if it helps, I managed to get a letter from a prof within 12 hours. I emailed him the night before and he submitted it the next morning. I don't know how good that letter was lol but it got the job done.
  8. Hi everyone, Just to let those of you know who are also waiting to hear back from Munk (re: MPP apps) Petra got back to me and said: "At this time the MPP Admissions team is reviewing applications. They expect to be in a position to provide first-round MPP admission offers in mid/late-March, with subsequent offers in mid-April." So we still have to wait a while longer. Hang in there guys!
  9. No worries! Good luck! I'm also waiting for Munk to roll out letters. the wait is reeeeallly annoying
  10. I agree - definitely try to get anyone else to submit the letter if you can. Also, follow up with the admin office to ease your worrying; unless it is a required academic reference to meet admission requirements, then I think it might be case dependant on whether they check your profile or not.
  11. I've heard beginning-to-mid March for the MPP program at Munk. Though a previous poster got admitted to the MGA program a couple of weeks ago, in case you might've been referring to that
  12. Thanks for sharing! That's really relieving to hear, especially bc we have similar stats (with LORs and work experience especially)
  13. Congrats! would you be comfortable sharing your stats?
  14. I really hope so! Although looking at the forum from last year, people didn't start hearing back from UofT (health promo) until April. Hopefully that was because of the first lockdown but I can't even imagine waiting that long
  15. I haven't applied to Carleton but looking at forums from previous years, I'm pretty sure they typically start their first round of acceptances at the end of Feb/beginning of March.
  16. congratulations and thanks a lot for sharing! must be nice to get in this early tho lol i keep refreshing my email like my life depends on it
  17. Hi! I'm a current applicant browsing through old forums to kill time (hate the waiting period). Did you end up going to Munk? Was the tuition cost worth it, do you think? Any pros and cons?
  18. Does anyone have any tips for waiting it out lol (ie., accepted/rejection letters). it's only been a couple of weeks since applications were due but i still check my email 12 times a day
  19. Hi. I don't know how useful my opinion will be since this is a case-dependant situation, but if I knew guaranteed that classes would be online for me, then I would not move out. For me, the pros of not moving out are: saving money (the biggest reason), being in an environment that I am familiar/comfortable with - especially with a pandemic (my home province/city), not many people living in my house (no noise), my parents don't hover (enough privacy + food is always there, mom does my laundry sometimes etc). Ultimately, though, if I'm already paying tuition, then I don't want to spend money on rent/food/travelling costs/etc. when I don't have to; also, for me, I would be able to move out as soon as I graduate with my savings (assuming online school continues). Cons, of course, would largely revolve around lack of privacy and potentially feeling trapped after you've already gotten used to some level of freedom (or haven't and really want to); but with a pandemic this is almost universal. If you are in an abusive or toxic environment, however, the cons definitely outweigh the pros, in my opinion. Restrictions in varying provinces could also sway your opinion. For example, if you're from Ontario, like me, and you have the opportunity to experience a "normal" life again (in BC, for example), then that may be worth it. Sorry for the block of text, but like I said, it's really case-dependent. Ultimately, you know what's best for you.
  20. tbh i was really last minute about grad school so this is the only mpp(a) program I've applied to this round. What about you? any good news yet?
  21. yes i did! My application has been under review for a coupe of weeks now. What about you?
