Just a heads up! The "submitted" portion on SGS doesn't change once a decision comes out (mine hasn't anyway, still says submitted ?) I found out via acorn and then got an email about 3-ish days later

Edit - Ok I went to double check and my package does not say that. It says to upload both as a Confirmation Form. I'm gonna err on the side of caution and upload it as an Additional Document. 

Thank you for the clarification. Did you ask the dept. or anyone specific? Because in the package it just says submit these forms under the document that reads confirmation form. So a little confused lol

Hi there fellow UofT peep yes, I just signed those 3 pages and uploaded them (in a combined PDF) as the admission confirmation form. If we missed anything let us know!

For those who are anticipating a waitlist from UofT MSW - please don't be discouraged by that, I know at least 5 people who got off the waitlist (in various years). The waitlist officially closes in the first week of classes and people will be turning down their acceptances until then.

Also just received my official letter to U of T. Last initial K. Will be declining Waterloo's BSW and Windsor's MSW if anyone is waiting to get off the waitlist.

Like others, I received an email saying my application status updated for UofT. When I checked, I saw my official offer package (24 pages). Deadline to accept is April 23 for me, deadline to pay deposit is June 1st.

I’ve just received my official offer of admission on SGS. I did not receive an email though. Last name starts with D  

This was my 4th round of applications and I was prepared to quit applying for social work if I didn't get in this year. I cried last year when I got waitlisted from UofT for the 3rd time. 
 
Speaking from personal experience, if this is your dream, please don't give up. If you want to hear my experience let me know. 

Mine was like this yesterday morning but by evening I received the update on SGS. Usually takes a couple of hours, it may update for you by monday?  

Through my graduate program I worked as a TA. Definitely look into applying to be one if neither school offers them in their admission packages. There are also external and internal scholarships at just about every school, too. Some of these may be open to apply to already. Graduate programs are less intensive than undergraduate programs in many ways, I'd recommend looking into outside employment if neither of the above options work for you. Congrats on the offer.

My status on Acorn just changed to invited, with a $500 deposit. I can't stop crying

I just got accepted to Laurier!!!! I'm shocked but so excited

Did my undergrad in psychology with a thesis; 4.0 in the last couple of years. Have volunteered with LGBTQ groups and children but the bulk of my experience comes from working in psychology labs and in a mental health hospital as a researcher. Felt good about my references (they’ve all known me for a long time, so I think that helped) and personal statements. I tried to combine what I hope to achieve as a social worker with both personal and professional experiences if that helps. 

Totally off topic but this MSW Canada forum has over 1500 replies and 200K views and the next highest MSW topic page only has 475 replies ?. Canadians really care about their social work lol
