I assume that my rejection letter from Harvard is already in the mail, and making its way across the Pacific Ocean to me - a second time round.
Anyone heard anything from Temple or Cornell or Hawaii?
I was the admit. Think the 35,000 CAD doesn't cover tuition, though. I just woke up and was kinda groggy - should like read between the lines before posting such stuff. Tsk tsk me.
Quite unfortunately, that's my guess, too. They don't usually e-mail rejects, and people reject pool find out via snail mail. Erm, unless your potential advisor is in Timbuktu, and had no way of knowing that you were admitted.
I am feeling kinda nervous because Harvard historically notifies rejects via postal, so we won't be hearing anything from them until much later if we are in the reject pool
For whatever it's worth, last year, when UW admitted me without funding, the official letter was dated 23 Feb, and it took forever to arrive, since it ended up in my mail box without any prior warning like e-mails or something.
They were much faster this year, since they are offering me funding this year.
Couldn't be worse than last year? If you look at the history, they're still within their usual timeframe, maybe just a day or two off. Guess they wanted the weekend to mull over things? ... or maybe not!
Try not to worry too much? Based on my experience, they are pretty forgiving with late-arriving materials.
Have you sent an e-mail asking about that?
Good luck, though!
