These are my two favorite American History trivia facts! (Hooker and Burnsides!)

Guys, I'm feeling extremely positive as well. It started yesterday for no reason and has continued through today. Our computer system is down at work do I've stopped checking this place as crazily as I have been during the day. But I still look occasionally on my phone. I'm glad we're all feeling up today!!
-
Thanks for the reading suggestions guys!!

Not yet! He started a new job this month and gets his first pay check tomorrow (his first one in a while). So he's going to apply to the schools he's pretty sure he can get into (LSU for sure, maybe Loyola?). He might also apply to Tulane (that would be ridiculously expensive though). Maybe a few others. I think I'm more nervous for him than me at this point, especially since it's late in the process (but thank goodness for law school rolling admission!).
-
Working. Womp womp. In my free time, I will probably be reading and trying to work on my German. Spending time with my boyfriend too. He'll (knock on wood) be off to law school far from where ever I go, so we gotta get those cuddles in!
-
Nah, it's okay. You just make me look like I'm giving out the wrong info, saying we don't know anything about the acceptance when we darn well do! Tell that person congrats, because apparently s/he is one out of ten lucky people!
-
Speaking of IU, there's a waitlist posted! I hope I didn't curse y'all.
-
Look at you being all secretive. I do hope you not hearing means good news though! And not the perilous waitlist.
-
Well actually there was one singular acceptance posted well before the rejections and MA offers went out. We never did figure out who it was for and the circumstances of the acceptance. Sorry that isn't very helpful, but welcome!
-
I know! believe me as more as I think about the opportunity, I'm truly excited to reapply and shoot even higher (especially if Michigan lets me apply next time)! But come on, you know we can't NOT be jealous of a sweep like Safferz! It's a good jealous though.
-
Wow Safferz. What the hell did you do to your application to make you so awesome. Geez. I feel like I'll go away for two years, get an MA and STILL not have as good of a run as you. (This is all in good fun btw).
-
Since most of y'all are expecting this today, I'll go ahead and toss this out there.
-
Hahah. I agree. They seem very neurotic like us. I love their 0% Confidence thread. But they also are like us, in that they really want good things for others as well. Plus, they even occasionally chat about things other than apps.
-
We like to read and research? I mean we ARE historians and what historian loves having 12 different sources when we can have one? I haunt the LitCompRhet forum too, because I think they are pretty close to us. I think they have so many different threads because it's a very encompassing forum (some threads are about literature programs, English, litcomp, rhetoric, etc., so why have one large thread where you might think Duke is reporting for English when it's really Lit?). Also, we're awesome. This has nothing to do with the question at hand. Though I was pondering this the other day.

Just looking for a brief answer/explanation
Kelkel replied to objectivityofcontradiction's topic in GRE/GMAT/etc
Yay studying, but analogies aren't on the revised GRE anymore! I guess studying them could still help, but studying them in depth is not necessary! Hope you can find your answer though, it is totally annoying when there's no explanation. -
I make wonderful crepes. It was my original back up plan, provided a fellow student assistant couldn't figure out what to do with her life. She did and it seems like I have too, so it's a no go on our crepe and tea shop.

Doing work at work seems to be a good distraction from this place... but it's taken me about ten minutes to seal these envelopes. Seems like both work and this site are equally distracting.
-
I'm down for cookies. And coffee. And that new car. I'll take option CCC.
-
In other news, there's a WashU acceptance posted! Looks like the boring Monday is officially quashed.
-
I think I was that LSU MA. I was accepted either very early February or the dead end of January. It was shortly after I had submitted by application though. I know another girl was also accepted for the MA, but I don't remember when she received her acceptance. But we did begin communicating about it around this time last year.
-
Which ones did you apply to? I believe most will notify after they notify about the PhD applicants first (Indiana rejected people and then accepted masters people. I think we're unclear how when they accepted PhD applicants). I'm waiting on Binghamton and the results survey clearly indicates an early March decision for both PhD and masters applicants.

Kim Jong-Il revolutionized film and opera in North Korea. Apparently, he knew exactly what scenes were needed and how to put them together in order to tell a compelling story. Well, that's what the official accounts say
-
TRUTH I only found out about this place because my friend (who was already in a PhD program in the sciences) wanted to ruin my life. He did. And it made me both more ambitious and more neurotic.
-
I'm more pissed that the two people he decided to thank after winning a Grammy were God and the Grammys for letting him on stage.
-
They talked about him separately. I think it was when Common and Taraji were presenting an award! Fear not! Yay another Monday to start another week of waiting. I hope some of y'all get good news (especially those who haven't had any at all).
