  1. Thanks so much for the suggestions!
  2. Darn! Just realized that the March 23 visit day conflicts with a conference I'll be attending, so I can't go
  3. Best advice I've heard all day! I'm waiting to hear back from Stanford, and even though I didn't receive a call today, I'm keeping hope alive until I get an official rejection.
  4. Wait, they notify everyone on one day? That doesn't sound right.
  5. Alright, slightly strange question. For a long time, I was considering obtaining my master's abroad, due to my immense love of travel and motivation to do something out of the box. I thought that it sounded like it would be a great experience. However, with 5 applications already in to stateside schools, I'm wondering if it's pointless for me to still attempt to apply? I've alread heard back from 2 schools, so my desire to apply to more is steadily waning, especially now that it's late February. Should I still go for it? And does anyone know of any reputable higher education-leaning master's programs overseas, specifically in the UK? I really can only think of a couple. Again, this may sound like a crazy topic, but I'm quite curious!
  6. CONGRATS to the Stanford admits!! I'm so shocked that they're replying this soon! Now my nerves are really on end!
  7. This marks week 4 for me for Penn. My nerves are on end!
  8. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Congratulations!!
  9. I applied to 5 Master's programs and I've heard back from 2. However, I was under the impression that PhD programs notified candidates first, but I could be wrong, it may be program-dependent.
  10. MA candidates at Michigan should be hearing back now, I'd assume, since I received word last Tuesday. It'll be any day now for others! Good luck to all!
  11. Are you referring to the official apartments that are affiliated with the University itself? I'm not entirely sure about that, but I'm currently finishing my undergrad degree here at UT and you will absolutely LOVE it here! Congrats to you!
  12. Same here, for Higher Education! Still deciding if I'll attend on March 23rd, I'd love to hear back from other schools first so I can determine which ones to visit. Congrats to those admitted!
  13. Thanks so much, I really appreciate it! I'll be checking furiously over the next week or so haha. My application wasn't officially complete until late January, so I guess I understand the wait.
  14. You know, I was so burdened and stressed out about applications that once I submitted all of them and then received my first acceptance, I realized that I never set a reward for myself! But after reading all of these, I'm going to try and think of something. Especially if I get into one of my reach schools, I'm REALLY going to want to do something decadent.
  15. I remember when I clicked submit for one of my applications and then re-read over all of the qualifications and directions and realized that they required for the CV to be no more than 2 pages and mine was 3. Freaked out for a bit before I realized there was nothing I could do and that maybe I was just being silly. But hey, I got in!
  16. Congrats to everyone so far! Sidenote: I checked the results page (it is SO addicting!!) and I noticed that someone heard back from Penn GSE on Friday (for Master's), but there's only been one posting. Has anyone else applying for a Master's heard back from them?
  17. Applied for the Ed.M in Higher Education, but I'm quite intimidated due to my age (21, last year of undergrad) and some of the crazy amazing stats from others I've talked to and heard about. Accepted to Michigan, which has one of the top Higher Ed programs, yet Harvard seems to be a completely different ball game.
  18. Thanks everyone! And congrats captainwombat27, that's excellent!
  19. Accepted to the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor today for Master's in Higher Education! Super excited! The turnaround on decisions is quicker than I anticipated any to be. This is the second school I've heard back from, but was not expecting to hear from anyone until mid-February/March. Nonetheless, this is great and welcomed news!
  20. I'm super late, but I was accepted as well into the same program! I wasn't able to attend the visitation day, but did anyone else attend? If so, how was it?
