  1.     Wow, so did I!
  2. Really? How do you know? Now that makes me super nervous for tomorrow!
  3. Ah, okay. That clears things up. In either case, I think I'll have better luck next year.
  4. I don't know why you keep on saying there are only 4-5 students accepted per year because according to HSPH's website that's definitely not the case. Link to acceptance rates and statistics.
  5. Me too! I hope that they are just looking over more applications and accepting/rejecting students as they go along instead of sending out the acceptances first and then rejections later.
  6. Yes, I've just called and I got the same response. Though he didn't seem very excited about it, and at one point he went, "Oh..." But I think it was because he couldn't find my name? In either case, I'm going to keep positive.
  7. I still haven't heard anything.
  8. Haha, thanks. Fulbright is definitely not a sure thing because there are other really competitive applicants in the pool. But hopefully it'll be promising!
  9. This month is going to drive me crazy, lol.
  10. A part of me thinks I got rejected, but another part of me refuses to give up on hope.
  11. You're right. I totally forgot it was Saturday. But maybe they just send the acceptances and rejections out at different times throughout the week, so they just sent the first wave of both and then we'll just wait for the next wave next week?
  12. I still haven't heard anything yet. It's already 6:30PM in Boston, so maybe I'll wait until tomorrow to officially cry? Lol.
  13. I think the "current students" section is comprised of some of their featured students and not everyone. And if it is everyone, then that is an mind-blowing small amount. In either case, I still haven't received anything yet, so... I'm really sad.
  14. I'm basically freaking out to the max. I need candy in my life.
  15. Did I get rejected?! Or are they just waiting until tomorrow? I applied for the Global Health and Populations program.
  16. Don't say that! You're making me super nervous too... I called them today but they were out of the office. :\
  17. Personally, I wouldn't want to do distance learning. A big part of why I want to go to grad school is because I want to gain the network, live in a new area, talk to professors on a personal level, participate and become an active part of campus, and to gain more friends in the process. Online just don't have any of that, and if it does, in very small quantities.
  18. I just checked the "Results" section and people have already heard back from Harvard! There are both rejections and acceptances--I'm so nervous now! I haven't gotten anything yet.
  19. Oh, I didn't realize that we should email back to say thank you. Should I do that now? Is it necessary?
  20. I was talking to Harvard at an Idealist fair and they said students in the public health school can also take classes in other departments. And even though Yale is an official MPH (I am applying for an MSc in Global Health at Harvard), I don't think an MS/MSc will be much different in terms of knowledge attainment. In addition, having an MS would give us more research experience anyways. I want to go to Harvard because of the world class program, the prestige, and the ability to live in Boston for graduate school. And I also heard that we can actually take classes at nearby universities like MIT. And it seems like you've been accepted to several schools--how are you going to decide? Especially with the $25K scholarship at Washington University in St. Louis. I'm really looking forward to the chance to get a Fulbright this year, and if I did I'll be able to use that year abroad and apply to scholarships and fellowships to fund my degree. One can only dream... I hope we both get acceptances at the end of the month.
  21. If we could switch, I'd be up for it 100%!
