That has happened to me with schools that use the applyyourself website. I think your best bet is turning all your documents into PDFs.

I have a chart and I took a pic of it so that I can carry it around on my phone... lol I'm also starting to get nervous because I've heard stories of POIs reaching out to students via phone and email before decisions get formally announced. So if decisions are announced the last week of Jan and first two weeks of Feb..calls may very well come in a few wks!!!!!!!! I say that if we make it through the next week alive, we may make it to hear the decisions.... maybe. If I dont hear anthing by Valentines day, I'll start sobbing uncontrollably.

Congrats on finishing up! I'm not really sure about MA programs but you might want to search the results boards to see what schools actually offer MAs in Anthro. As we've all realized, some schools claim to offer MAs but really dont (these apps are dismissed), some only offer MAs en route to the PhD (so you can't apply to a terminal MA program), and other programs don't offer a lot of info on this option or only offer it to applicants that they don't feel strongly enough about to grant them admission to their PhD program. So, I think if you do a quick search to see whats schools admitted people into programs last year you might have a starting point. Good luck!!!

THIS ^^^ I've been checking my apps for updates, but I know that adcoms aren't even meeting yet. I got word that a couple are meeting next week. Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Awwwwwww...mine are pretty similar. What I love about these boards is that because we're all going through the same process the majority of people on here are genuinely ecstatic when others on here get good news. I think it's pretty awesome that we build such a great little support system from November to April. It definitely helps to know that you can vent to people that understand you when you hear all the crazy stuff people say about applying.

Me tooooo! I was going to start applying to jobs, but the whole app process has really drained me. I'm taking a couple of weeks off and then diving into the job search. I'm just so nervous about everything. Major bouts of anxiety.

Veryyyyy! I can't figure out if people are not on the boards this year or if less people are applying this year. Part of me is hoping it's the latter...

My profs have all given me the "you need to be more confident" spiel because I keep talking about how I'm not going to get in anywhere. I am also terrified of not getting in anywhere because they have all been soooooo confident about the fact that I will get into certain programs and I would be so embarrassed if I didn't make the cut. My friends are also really confident that I'll get it: "Of course you'll get in! Why wouldnt they LOVE you????" I'm not as concerned about explaining this to my friends. It's the professors I'm worried about. They sincerely acted like it would be astonishing if I didn't get in anywhere: "The hardest thing that you'll have to deal with is deciding between programs." It's given me so much anxiety.... ! Sighhhhhhhhh....

Yep, I'm applying to a couple of programs. There is already a thread for this, but it's been pretty quiet. I wonder why these boards seem so quiet this year...Last year they were intense!

This is a great suggestion. You'd really be surprised what you would find. Also, look into consignment stores. They tend to have higher end labels for accessible prices.

Stanford and Penn start contacting around the second week of Feb according to the board last year. I don't know if I can wait that long!!!

Thanks for the encouragement! It's so nervewracking thinking about how your app is going to be judged. We actually have no idea what's more important that what. Is the SOP the most important thing? Can a high GRE trump a lousy writing sample? Truth is...we really don't know. There is no blanket answer. School X might love high GPA's and School Y might put SOP/fit first. It's scary and there's nothing that we can do but wait. Sigh.....

Finally done! Congrats to everyone applying this season! I know we've all really worked hard.

OMG wowwwwwww.... in its entirety?! I had no clue. My writing sample was so weak... The rest of my app is pretty solid. Now I'm worried.

I didnt get an email either when I submitted for Harvard either. However, Harvard has a special number for app related questions and they are not back in the office until Jan 7.
