Another update... so apparently it was a clerical error and  I have been admitted to Systematic Theology, the program I applied to. The Mission, Ecumenics, and History of Religions track is jointly administered by both theology and history so I won't be precluded from participation in that! There's also the bonus of my degree being called "Systematic Theology," which is handy because it's what I want to actually teach

Oh yeah, if we're talking about all the people throwing it out there as one option along side starting a non-profit, going to live in a Chilean village indefinitely, etc., I knew plenty of those! Damn, I'm a jerk, haha.

Finally some closure! In at Emory! My number one choice!

Unfortunately, I still do not have much closure. I have an offer at Oxford, but am waiting it out to see if I can get in off the wait list at Emory. Chances seem very high, so just keeping my fingers crossed. 

Whelp it's all said and done for me. I'll be at Duke this fall. Maybe ill see some of you around! Good luck to you all still waiting.

Awesome!  Good to hear something positive amidst all the rejections.  Meanwhile, just got my rejection letter from Indiana.   Their loss.
