  1. Have you considered quantitative psych?
  2. I'd suggest talking to some WashU faculty. They might be able to give you some insight into what your odds are and how to improve your application.
  3. Don't allude to a medical condition. http://psychology.unl.edu/psichi/Graduate_School_Application_Kisses_of_Death.pdf
  4. As for OU, they have some very good quant people. It doesn't have as sexy a brand as UNC, but getting your degree from their won't hurt your later job prospects.
  5. You might want to look into Hogan Assessments. They have a record of funding/hiring researchers with I/O, Quant, Personality, or Social Degrees. Your interests sounds like a very nice match for them.
  6. wrong forum: post here. http://forum.thegradcafe.com/forum/95-speech-language-pathology/
  7. No one will care about (or see) your AP scores or high school grades.
  8. I actually got that. You just have to write a short essay. Mine was nearly my SOP, just with a bit of econ + psych in it.
  9. I did this, and the profs I interviewed with really liked it. I listed the title of the paper (sometimes reworded to better convey the thesis), the course and the semester. I tried to include only one or two per semester that were really relevant to my field/research interest. I think I needed to do this because my interest in gender differences, relationships, and quantitative methods was easier to see in my papers, than in my econ, history, psych, and math courses. PM me if you want a copy of it.
  10. I found the masters program stats. (US News). PhD/EdD requirements are what's already been discussed. Master's programs Applications 956 Acceptance rate 57.9% Enrollment 443 full-time 97 part-time Average undergraduate GPA 3.5 Average GRE score (old test) 568 verbal 661 quantitative Average GRE score (new test) 157 verbal 153 quantitative Average GRE analytical writing score 4.4
  11. The old cut-off was 1400; 1300 if you had a very pretty CV. But, yes, admissions really likes high GRE scores.
  12. Peabody person (kinda) here. Take the GRE again. Unless you have an advocate for your admission, (which only happens when you have kickass everything else). you're going to have a very tough time getting in.
  13. I had one program (Davis) that didn't allow me to upload anything, including a cv. So I emailed it to my PI. He seemed pleased enough with it...
  14. Questions: Is your publication a first author publication? What calibre of school did you attend? Your GPA is a bit low for clinical PhDs straight out.... you may want to listen to your supervisor.
  15. If any quant psych applicants have questions, shoot me a message. I'll get back to you ASAP.

  16. I hate to break it to you, but clinical psych PhDs and PsyD are brutally competitive. I would strongly suggest prepping for your verbal as well. . You're at the 4% for math and 15% for verbal. I suggest you aim for 50% in both, which require scores in the 150s.
